My husband and I are annual passholders and have attended MNSS every year for the last 4 years. In 2016 we attended twice during fall break in October with our family (total 12) - the crowds were very light and we had a wonderful time. The following year we went back in September - just the 2 of us and it was also great. In October of 2018 again with our family we noticed increased crowds and longer lines. This year in September of 2019 just my husband and I attended and found it to be crowded and not an improvement over being in the MK on a non MNSS night. Disappointing as it is advertised as being a time of lower attendance. We will be there in 2020 again during fall break and I am sure that our family will want to attend - but I don't look forward to it as I once would have. I would recommend it still on the strength of the parade alone, but don't expect the crowds to be "magically" lighter.

Pros:

The very best parade ever!

Cons:

Too crowded - seems to get more so every year.

This was my 5th time attending a MNSSHP. We arrived to the party around 5:00. There was a huge bottleneck at the entrance to get in and get wristbands. We were shocked to find out that our party on September 22nd was a sold out event. We grabbed a bite at Casey’s first thing and waited 20 minutes to get our food. Next we headed to the Laugh Floor and enjoyed the Halloween overlay and got our treat bags and only candy of the night. We were only able to ride Space Mountain and Pirates. We waited 25 minutes to try the Peter Pan float and Snake Eyes drink. No one in our group liked the Float but the Snake Eyes drink was tasty. We waited around 20 minutes for a Constance Wedding Cake and Hitchhiking Ghost popcorn container. The cake was inedible. The consistency was very gelatinous and we all agreed it was not for us. I found out that in order to collect the other two
Ghosts to complete the set we had to weave through parade traffic over to Pacos Bills and then to Golden Oaks. It was quiet a hassle to wait in so many long lines for a souviner . We were excited to see the new Jack Skellington narrated Fireworks so we claimed a spot in a grassy area off of Main Street. Everyone was packed very close together. After the fireworks we headed closer to the castle to see the Sanderson Sisters stage show. The packed crowds around the castle reminded me of New Years Eve. We were frustrated at this point my kids didn’t want to stay for the parade and we made our way back to the hotel.

Pros:

Special fireworks show and parade.

Cons:

Large crowds. Long lines for attractions, special snacks, and candy.

Felt no different than any other day at Disney .....my 9 year old noticed that they reused one of the xmas parade floats for the Halloween parade - takes away from some of the magic when a child is pointing these things out

Pros:

Nice decorations, good candy

Cons:

Way too expensive, cruella deville "dinner" is not worth it

MNSSHP is not something I care to spend money on again. Basically we enjoyed great parade, loved Madame Carlotta at the Haunted Mansion, rode Tea Cups, and did 3 treat lines in over 4 hours. Not worth the money!

Pros:

Great parade- fun seeing all the costumes

Cons:

Toooooooo crowded!

I attended with my BF on Friday, Sept 20, 2019. It was crazy getting in but we were routed up the back of the right side of Main St, received our bags & got some treats. We were able to ride a few rides without too much wait in the very beginning but it quickly went downhill. Just getting through the crowds was ridiculous & by the time we hit Pecos Bills for dinner, my BF was OVER IT and he ended up bailing 2 hrs into it. Luckily he had no clue I spent almost $200 on these tickets or he'd have really been ticked off. I've been to MNSSHP 3x before & had SO much fun in the past but I cannot justify a $200 extra expense to fight these kinds of crowds. This ended up being the worst turning point of a fairly unhappy Disney trip (my 15th, his 2nd) and he will NEVER be returning. I do not know that I will ever do the MNSSHP again... i wouldn't want to risk this chaos, confusion and frustration again at any cost. Very disappointed 🙁

Pros:

Unique shows that make this a phenomenal special event IF the crowds had been manageable.

Cons:

Not many food establishments open for *real* food which made it all that much more crowded & chaotic. I never even made it over to the Haunted Mansion to see the new, updated MNSHHP stuff there which was a big bummer.

Too Crowded!! Went twice. Much more pleasant during nonparty hours. Won’t ever go again.

Pros:

Castle/ Fireworks show, costumes

Cons:

Long waits (up to 2 hours) for characters, so-so special desserts, very crowded. Not a good value.

This was my first MNSSHP, and I am on the fence about whether it was worth it or not. I went on a Tuesday in September, the crowds were not horrible, but everything still had a wait. I was expecting more than what was there, based on reviews of previous years. There was no way anyone could get through the whole party by midnight. I am just not as "wow'd" as I thought I would be.

Pros:

Good candy, shorter ride lines

Cons:

Way too hot, long lines for candy and characters

Loved the festivities but it was much too crowded. We never trick or treated, didn't get to meet any characters as all the lines were too long. We used the advice to see the later parade and show but it was still very crowded. During the day the crowds were much lighter than normal but after 7 it became as crowded as a typical summer day which we avoid. I thought this was a special event to do but for 7 of us it was a big waste of money

Pros:

Decorations

Cons:

Too crowded, too expensive

I attended last years 'Not so scary Party' in September, my 3rd party over the years.
I was amazed at the size of the crowds, much larger than on any previous visit to the Magic Kingdom going back to 1983.
The transition between the day & night crowds was very well handled but the volume of the crowd meant that there were long queues for everything, including the restrooms!
Not all attractions were open on the night we attended and the queue for the Seven Dwarf's Mine train was unbelievable.
The handouts at the 'Goofy Candy Company stands were very small in contrast with previous years but the queues very, very long and slow moving.
If you hadn't attended a 'Not so scary Party' before don't miss it but if you have been before consider saving your money for something else like a good meal at one of the better restaurants!

Pros:

Halloween costuming of guests & Park.

Cons:

Huge crowds & reduced trick or treat candies.

We attended the party on Oct 29, 2019, which was a Tuesday. Not WDW's fault, but it was INSANELY hot! Sheesh.

Moving on, the place was packed. It didn't feel like a special event of days gone by, it felt more crowded than I felt it was during the day for regular hours. For a special event, it didn't feel very special.

We went to meet Moana at the party and were told it was a 20 minute wait but it took over an hour- which KILLS way too much of your party time!!! My kids found it to be worth it but I certainly did not.

Cast members were not stingy with their candy and it was plentiful! The lines for the candy were fine and moved quickly with tons of stations around.

I agree with so many others who say the parties are oversold and if that continues to be true, this party is not worth it.

Pros:

Lots of Trick or Treat Stations, Tons of Candy, New Fireworks, Headless Horseman, Mickey's Philharmagic Playing Halloween Movies

Cons:

Oversold and EXTREMELY crowded, lengthy lines for character meet and greets, lengthy queue times
