Horrendous. We asked at the start of the ride if this one was scary and the attendant assured us it wasn’t. He said it’s a slow gentle ride and you only tip back onto your back a few times. Lies! The best way I can describe it is that it’s exactly like what I imagine Hell would be. Horrible, screaming sounds at top volume while you are violently rocked back and forth and onto your back then spit on by a dragon. It was so awful, I had to keep my eyes closed the entire time. Felt sick for a while after. As we were walking away, I heard the attendant telling another concerned looking family, how gentle the ride was. I almost went over to correct him but didn’t want to be rude.

Pros:

The ride eventually ended

Cons:

Nausea, terror

SOOOO Scary! I heard it was similar to Soarin. The beginning is very similar. But it moves around so much. I am not a coaster person, but I would rather ride a coaster than ride this again. It is also really dark and scary. Not appropriate for kids at all, which is fine since they probably wouldn't be tall enough to ride this anyway.

Pros:

Great for HP fans. Getting to walk through the castle is really cool. And the beginning of the ride is fun.

Cons:

AWFUL for those who don't like rollercoasters or thrill rides. Dark, scary, and jerky. If you (or your kids) are scared easily, don't bother with this.

Had to keep my eyes closed or I would have sure gotten sick ( I did get sick after). The queue was definitely 10 out of 10! I wish I had taken a Dramamine.

Pros:

Best queue of any ride!

Cons:

Made me very sick

I just can’t ride this one anymore. At all. I used to ride it with my eyes closed when it was in front of a screen, but I have to sit this one out now. I do enjoy the immersive experience. But I can’t get over how sick it makes me. If I were you I’d walk through the queue then walk out the exit.

Pros:

Impressive ride technology

Cons:

Will make you sick

If you are motion sick prone, this is not the ride for you. I am not and still get off this ride feeling nauseous. The storyline is really cool and integrates cool effects. Even if you don’t ride, the queue is a must do.

Pros:

Very cool effects especially with the spiders and quidich. Amazing queue.

Cons:

Motion sickness

The queue is Fantastic and a must do experience for any Potterhead. The ride however is not for the faint of stomach . . . I would be cautious if you have a history of migraines as I found this ride very triggering and had to close my eyes several times and take a good twenty minutes recovery time afterwards.

Pros:

A magical must see queue that's amazing for photos

Cons:

Dated animatronics Very rough ride movement Simulations that make even stronger stomachs queasy

The queue was amazing, and super immersive! The ride itself was pretty good and the story was cool, thought the ride itself felt more like the amazing Spider-Man ride. If there were more unique mechanical elements, then the ride would be perfect!

Pros:

Waiting queue Unique storyline

Cons:

Unoriginal ride feel

It breaks my heart to say that this is my least favorite ride in all of the Wizarding World. I think I had high hopes for excellence since it’s the ride inside of Hogwarts school, but it left me pretty disappointed. It almost tilts you upside down several times and that actually made me very uncomfortable, it made me feel nauseated, and the dementors looked so unrealistic to me it was almost comical. I do think everyone should ride it once because the queue alone is incredible.

Pros:

The queue

Cons:

The ride itself is less than impressive, if you’re a tall/broad person you may have issues riding, my husband is tall with very broad shoulders and he didn’t pass the seat check since it’s an over the shoulder restraint.

Very cool and unique ride. I don't normally get motion sick on screen based rides, but this one does sometimes get me.
But I LOVE the bits where you're zipping around the scenery and creatures.
Baffled that this gets such short queues now.

Pros:

Theming is great. Very unique

Cons:

Can make you feel quesy
