I’ve eaten here several times in recent years and always ordered the same thing - the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables. So I’m not sure about the other menu items, but I can say with confidence that the chicken has always been great. They also have good desserts, such as the Mardi Gras cake I had the last time I was there. The outdoor seating area is nice, although at times I’ve had difficulty finding a table that was unoccupied and clean. Sometimes jazz bands play while you eat, which makes for a fun experience. When you consider that the Mint Julep Bar is right there too, with mint juleps and beignets to add your meal, you can’t lose. I really wish the Magic Kingdom in Florida had a quick service restaurant as good as this one!

Pros:

Good, affordable food

Cons:

May be difficult to find a table when busy

Shared Beef Stew in a Sourdough Bowl here on 7/2/19. It was super yummy and filling! Loved being able to sit outside and soak up the Disney vibe while we were eating!

Excellent dinner. We all had the chicken dinner and the serving of chicken was huge. It also came with a very tasty assortment of vegetables and mashed potatoes, all of which were very fresh. It was the quality I would expect from a table service restaurant. The selection of desserts was excellent, nice to see what you are getting ahead of time, all fresh and delicious. Also the outdoor patio provided plenty of seating and a very nice atmosphere for dining.

Pros:

food

French Market does sit-down quality food in a counter service restaurant. Creamy Corn Chowder was perfect on a chilly evening this March. We loved the Chicken Caesar salad, Jambalaya and it was fun to have the mint juleps! Don't miss the Mickey beignets, made fresh to order and shake them in the bag to coat with powdered sugar! We love listening to the band and then walked out to watch Fantasmic!

Pros:

Delicious counter service meals

Cons:

none

We had a wonderful lunch at the French Market. I enjoyed the fabulous Corn Chowder in a sourdough bowl. Wonderful! My husband had the Market French Dip and really liked it. I managed to sneak a bite and it was quite good! It came with "Cajun Chips" that had great flavor and crunch.
The kids meal choices were good. We had one order of Macaroni and Cheese which tasted fresh and was very cheesy. It looked deceptively small as it is served in a little bowl on top of a larger plate. Once we dumped it onto the plate for easier eating you could see how much was really there. It was served with carrot/celery sticks and grapes. We also had the kids pasta with marinara sauce (he chose to have the sauce on the side). Again, it looked smaller than it was. The pasta was a bit buttery for my taste but my son loved it! The same sides were served with it.
We did not try dessert but I really wanted to! They had beautiful cupcakes for the Mardi Gras season and a layered chocolate cake that looked amazing. Actually all their desserts looked amazing! But the meals were filling and there was no room for dessert at that time. I kept meaning to go back for a snack one day but never made it.
The outdoor seating is very nice and the live Jazz band was wonderful and definitely added to the ambience.
The meal was $34 (after DVC discount). Kids meals come with drinks, adults had ice water.

Pros:

Atmosphere, Jazz Music, Plenty of choices
