Train ride that circles the length of the park. The quarter between New Orleans Square and Toon town is enjoyable for the Native Village it passes through. The best portion is Tomorrowland to Main street station that passes through the excellent animatronic prehistoric world filled with dinosaurs and a volcano.

Pros:

Beautifully restored steam trains, relaxing ride, views of parts of the park that can't be seen any other way, overview of the layout of the park, occasionally get up close views of the parade before it starts in Fantasyland

Cons:

Waits can be long and crowded, the prehistoric area may scare some kids if they aren't expecting it

The classic Disneyland attraction and I’d venture to say Walt’s favorite is the railroad around Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom. The whole family can enjoy this opening day attraction only improved over the years to be what you enjoy today. They often said the reason Disneyland was built is so Walt could have a bigger train set.

Pros:

Opening day attraction, one of Walt’s favorites, good way to get to other lands in the park when busy and fun for the whole family.

Cons:

I’m gonna say it, the dioramas are a bit dated and add little to the overall enjoyment.

A train that passes through most of the main lands in the park.

Pros:

Nice transportation around the park with guaranteed seating. Also a fun ride for people who like trains!

Cons:

It's not a "ride" but still a great attractions. No complaints from me

You can't visit the park and not ride the railway at least one leg. But it is a great place to sit and relax if you need a break and would like to see a bit of the park and rest your legs at the same time.

Pros:

Nostalgic.

Cons:

Wait time can get long if you don't get on the first train past or just miss one. The dioramas could use an update.

What more can you say, but Walt’s train!! It’s similar to World’s train, but this has DINOSAURS!! Yes, dinosaurs!! They are the ones from the 1964 World’s Fair. It’s right by the Main Street station. Wonderful nostalgic ride.

Pros:

It’s a train at Disney, nice time to relax, whole family can enjoy

Cons:

Can be perceived as old fashioned, boring

The Disneyland Railroad is the first thing you see when you enter the park. You can take the train to get to different lands, or just simply to relax and ride around the park. You also get to pass through Splash Mountain and some dioramas. The dinosaur diorama can be loud, dark and maybe startling to some.

Pros:

It's a tradition and Walt Disney loved trains

Cons:

Some areas are dark and a little startling
