We have not stayed here for a long time, and I am glad we returned. We were located next to the elevators, but we did not hear any noise. Housekeeping and Bell Services were very efficient. The theme of New England beach resort is well done throughout the hotel including the villas. Loved the print on the curtains in bedroom and duvet on foot of bed. Appliances are older but all worked well. We could see the Epcot fireworks from our room. I noticed there were private functions on the beach every other evening and almost daily closing of the Solarium for private functions. Concierge services were available in the lobby of the Villas every morning which was very convenient. At Concierge desk at the Villas you can obtain park maps and the flyer of hotel events and movies.
Laundry detergent being supplied in the villas needs to be added to the washer BEFORE adding clothing and water. It left marks on my black jeans and my husband's navy blue polo shirt.

Pros:

Location, clean, quiet

Cons:

Beware the "green and gentle" laundry detergent

We just got back from this resort, and we loved the hotel. We had a 2 bedroom and it was plenty big enough for all 5 of us. Everything was clean, the pools were great (though I hate cold water, and the pool water was not warm). Only room complaint would be that the water took a long time to heat up. We would need to run the shower over 1 minute before it would even get warm. But that is just a minor thing.

My only complaint about this hotel is the lack of quick dining. They have a small marketplace, but even that has very few options (just one 3-4 shelf case of pastries). This resulted in me making the hike for the room to the Boardwalk Bakery every morning we didn't have reservations. Not a huge deal (that place is ridiculously good), but a bit of a hassle.

Pros:

Location, Rooms, Pools

Cons:

Food Options

We just got back from our first stay at the Beach Club Villas (Aug. 2 - Aug. 9, 2015) and we couldn't have been more happy!! We loved everything about our stay!! We requested room 536 and got it! Our one bedroom was plenty big for me, my husband, and our two boys (8 & 11), and spic-and-span clean!! The staff was extremely friendly and eager to help us with anything that we needed at any time! We were on the dining plan so the refillable mugs at the pool and market place were great! Also, there were a lot of snack and quick service options, and the food was great! We have absolutely no complaints and can't wait to come back again next year!!

Pros:

Pool, location to Boardwalk activities, location to EPCOT, charm

Cons:

No balcony off bedroom

Just back from 2 weeks at BCV. Our 4th visit to our home resort. This is in many respects a great resort. Pool complex is good in comparison to other resorts on property, although the claim that it is a mini water park is probably only true for younger kids (ours now early teens).

What really lets it down is the rooms which are very tired. However, the good news is that a refurb programme is underway, although no villas have been redone as yet.

Also there seems to be a European approach now to sun lounger use. People are being allowed to leave towels on beds all day to reserve them. It used to be the case that after a period of inactivity staff would remove the towels and new arriving guests to the pool could find a bed.

Staff as ever excellent for the most part

Pros:

Pool complex, service, facilities

Cons:

Rooms very tired, sun lounger availability

Everything about the Beach Club Villas is excellent except for housekeeping. They don't show up when they are scheduled and don't do a thorough job of cleaning - even if you leave them a tip. Front desk personnel are friendly and ready and willing to help you with any problem that should arise.

Pros:

Great location

Cons:

housekeeping

May 2, 2014 > may 14, 2014. 1 br villa.
We loved the room. Location on 5 th floor was wonderful. Very peaceful and quiet. Never heard anyone up there.
Room was serviced daily. No mousekeeping issues.
Loved the washer / dryer in unit. Loved the jetted tub after parks.
Got our room at 12pm and it was ready. View overlooked pool. Only negative was lights on building at night.
We could see magic kingdom higher fireworks from our room.

Pros:

location, parking, room, staff

Cons:

none

We stayed in a one-bedroom for three nights starting February 13, 2014. We are DVC members and stayed on points. Our room had a king bed and separate living room with a sleeper sofa. The bed was firmer than I, or my wife likes, but it was OK. The bathroom was very clean as was the kitchen and the rest of the room.

There are two things that set this resort apart from all others: location – you can walk to Epcot or DHS; and the pool area – Storm-a-long Bay is a great little water park by its self.

The only complaint we had was the distance we had to walk to get to our room from the main lobby. It was a very, very long walk; especially when you’re tired from a day in the parks. We would still love to come back if we can ever get another reservation.

Pros:

Location, Pool area

Cons:

Long hallways

I love this place but getting into your room before 5PM is becoming harder all the time. We had dinner reservations at Tutto Italia at 5:30 Dec 26'th but had to go there in our clothes that we had wore all day as we did not get into our room till 5:15. The carpets in the hallways are VERY DIRTY and worn and the units are showing wear and tear. IT is due for a rehab this year I think. having said all of this, I love this resort but somehow think that a better management team could help run it more efficient.

Pros:

Pool and Location

Cons:

Always late check ins

We were just at Beach Club Villas from 11/30/2013 to 12/7/2013.

The good: The front desk & concierge staff could NOT have been nicer. They were a pleasure to deal with (even when our bill was incorrect). It's also fantastic to be able to walk out the back of the resort and stroll right into Epcot (or wait a few minutes for a FriendShip to Hollywood Studios).

The bad: The Dunes Cove Pool (the pool "exclusively for BCV guests") has a hot tub with no jets. What's the purpose of a hot tub with no jets? Doesn't that make it just a bathtub? I called maintenance 3 times and told the Concierge twice and nothing was done while we were there.
They were doing work on the water mains which was not well-communicated to either the guests or the staff. The memo telling us that we would have no water overnight was placed underneath our microwave. Front desk staff didn't know that water had been disconnected or why when we called, either. That's unusually poor communication for a WDW property.

The ugly: BCV is in serious need of refurbishment. The carpeting is worn through to the padding in places. The furniture in the room, while comfortable, was showing its age. Some of the glasses had been broken and had not been replaced.

The Verdict: BCV was nice, but we've had much better experiences at Saratoga Springs (where we could have stayed in a 1 bedroom for the same price as a BCV studio).

Pros:

Proximity to Epcot

Cons:

Needs updating & repairs

Check in was great - personnel took the time to explain everything with the wrist bands and how they worked. All staff were friendly and helpful. Best location if you want to spend the majority of your time at EPCOT. Rooms could use some repair work, sink stopper was broken when we checked in and the HVAC system was pulling away from the wall.

Pros:

Great customer service

Cons:

Rooms need some repair work
