Ok this has just opened and we expected some sort of line to get in at luch, but 1 hour was a lot. The issue here is how you order. If you are on CC or Disney charge you have to do it yourself on touch screens that are not always the easiest to use. So my guess is many people have trouble with this. Given the backup to order and then the high availabilty of table I would guess this is the choke point.

After you get though this the dining area is great, we would have liked the west wing but that was packed. They need more tables in there. They bring food to your table and generally the food is good. Had the Tuna Nicolese salad but for 14 only had 4 small tuna pieces. Overall for 4 we spent like $78 for lunch!

Until they work some bugs out you may want to avoid this. We dined at 11 and the line was very long to get in, 1 hour. In the summer in 90+ degrees we would have said no way.

The themeing is great here both inside and out!

Pros:

Atmosphere

Cons:

Long line, messed up ordering system, food ok

When we entered the line at 1:30, we were told there would be a 30 minute wait. The wait with ordering was 65 minutes.

I had read a number of good reviews and was looking forward to the new experience. However, they were not really ready to handle the number of people. They kept offering an apology for the wait and the inability to take orders efficiently.

After we found a place to sit which was easy and the food arrived, we found it to be a disappointment. The French onion soup was tasteless, but did have a lot of cheese melted over the top. The ham and cheese sandwich was OK. And the quinoa plate with salad was dry and bland. We were very disappointed and will not be going back on our next trip in September.

Pros:

Ample seating

Cons:

Food was not very good. The wait was unreasonable.

I couldn't wait to visit this new restaurant, and I was not disappointed at all! Ate lunch here on Sunday 3/10/13. The food was excellent, I had the grilled steak sandwich, DH had the carved turkey sandwich and DS17 had the braised pork. My only wish was that there was more sauce on the bread, it was a wee bit on the dry side, but not unbearably so.
The ambiance was SO awesome. I couldn't stop looking around at everything they had to offer.
I love how they serve you the food as well, they bring it out on these covered carts so that it stays warm.
The only problem that we encountered was the ordering, it's a little confusing but there certainly are helpful CM's to help guide you along and soon we were on our way. And the dreaded wait in line, however I do have to say that it was not as bad as I had anticipated before leaving, per the boards here on all ears. 🙂

Pros:

Ambiance, price, service, food

Cons:

ordering, long lines, wait

My two daughters and I had lunch here on 2-27-13. We lined up roughly ten minutes before the restaurant was scheduled to open, and there was already a sizable line. I would say it took roughly 20-30 minutes to get to the ordering stands. I was pleased to see there were many employees there to help and explain the new system.

We lucked out and snagged a table in the West Wing, though any of the rooms would have been great, because the atmosphere was amazing. I did notice, however, that the West Wing was a bit scary for some younger children. Also, the darkness of the room made it hard to read the already hard to read fountain drink signs.

Our food came almost immediately, hot and fresh. All three of us ordered the grilled steak sandwich. It tasted great, but I will agree with earlier posts that mentioned that it was rather dry. The meat was a hair overcooked, and there was not enough of the sauce. Despite that, though, we enjoyed our sandwiches, and the french fries were great.
All in all, we had a wonderful time. The crowds will pass as the 'new' wears off. For now, I would recommend going as soon as the restaurant opens, because every time we passed by later in the day, the lines were massive.

Pros:

Fast delivery to table, tasty food.

Cons:

Very crowded

I was spending a day in the Magic Kingdom and decided to give Be Our Guest a try for lunch.

The line was long but moved quickly. The Cast Member outside said 45 minute wait. I doubt it was even 20. You enter the restaurant through a large door with a stained glass window depicting the events leading to the prince becoming the Beast above it.

Upon entering the building, you walk through a room with 3 kiosks that display the menu so you can decide what you want before ordering. Along the walls are suits of armor that can here snoring. Then you go through the room where you place your order. Most people use kiosks but I was sent to a Cast Member. I ordered a Grilled Steak Sandwich a root beer and Strawberry Creme Cheese Cupcake. I was given a rose and told to seat myself

No more than 5 minutes after I sat down a Cast member wheeled a cart up with my food. The rose I was given was RFID and let the CMs know where I was sitting.

The steak sandwich was a tad dry but I put a little steak sauce on it and it was very good. The fries were thick and the ketchup was very tangy.

The best part of the meal was the Strawberry Creme Cheese Cupcake. It was topped with a fresh strawberry and had strawberry creme cheese filling. It was AMAZING! I believe my exact quote was "Oh My God! Why can I not marry this cupcake!?!"

After eating, I explored a bit. I was sitting in the Rose Room which was themed to be the dining room where the song Be Our Guest happened. The walls were covered in pictures of random scenes from the movie. In the middle of the room was a statue of Belle and the Beast dancing that slowly rotated.

The largest of the 3 rooms was the Ballroom. It was themed to be the ballroom were Belle and the Beast first danced. Chandeliers hung from the ceiling and the back wall had a window showing it snowing on the mountain around the Castle. I felt like Belle and Beast would waltz out any minute.

The smallest of the 3 rooms was the West Wing. It was very dark inside. There was the picture of the Prince that had been slashed by the Beast's claws. Also in the West Wing was the Enchanted Rose. Every so often a petal would drop off the Rose. Also once in a while there would simulated lightning.

The food was great and the atmosphere was amazing! My only complaint is that the lighting was very dim although that was done to set the mood. I'd love to eat here for dinner sometime.

Pros:

Excellent Food, Wonderful Themeing

Cons:

Very dim lighting

Yes lines were very long to get in and to order but that is to be expected for a new restaurant.
The restaurant is beautiful, the chairs are exceptionally comfortable. We ate in the rose room which was not crowded (looking forward to trying the west wing and the ballroom in the future, both of which look equally enticing). Having the food brought to the table was a huge plus. Being able to sit, sipping are drinks while waiting for it was extremely nice.
We had the turkey and steak sandwiches, both of which were fresh and exceptionally tasty. The crusty baguettes were particularly good. They were also so large that two of us were unable to finish them and the staff were very happy to get to-go boxes for us. We tried both the strawberry and the lemon meringue cupcakes both of which were fresh, delicious, and exceeded expectations.
Looking forward to dining here again. We felt it was a nice step up in quick service dining.

Pros:

ambience, food

Cons:

long lines

Could not get for dinner (thru May 2013 according to the online reservations).

We arrived at 11am on 3/20 and the line moved fairly steady through great diversions like the decorating and the talking Armor as we lined thru halls to the selection room.

We were given a 'rose' and led to a machine to make our choices and pay on a touchscreen.

The payment aspect only worked after SEVERAL tries for all of the people in front of us and was no different for us. In fact the man from the party behind us was so short tempered he reached around me and pressed the screen, making us go through the process again.

I ordered the ham and cheese sandwich with the green beans, my Beast had the Turkey sandwich with fries. I had the Strawberry cupcake and he had the chocolate cream puff.

We almost had the room on the right to ourselves. The main ballroom was dim and loud and the tables were close together, we chose the Portrait gallery room because it was quieter.

In the room's middle is the lifesized music box of Beast and Belle. The walls are covered with tapestries of scenes we might not have seen in the movie.

Our food was delivered at the right temp and we had a great meal for a MK lunch.

Pros:

relaxing ambiance, good food choices available

Cons:

none at all

Ate here on 3/17, wanted to try since it is new and didn't want to eat dinner here, read earlier reviews of the long wait so went around 1pm and stood in line over 30 minutes. Castmember came around and handed out menus to everyone so that the line could move faster. The menu is limited but that's ok. When came to entrance everyone wanted to take pictures and cast members allowed this so this took extra time waiting. Once inside two lines formed. A castmember asked how many was in your party and if you were on the dining plan. We were and have been to Disney before and knew the dining plan do's and don'ts. After ordering we asked for the soup which would not be covered under the dining plan and knew that we wold have to pay for this. We were told that we couldn't order any additionals, we kept explaining that we understood that we would pay for the soup and the castmember told us that since we were on the dining plan we couldn't order anything else. So after several attempts we gave up and went to look for our table. We were pointed to the west wing which was very quiet and not crowded. Our food came minutes later. The food was ok basically sandwiches on hard rolls. The desserts were good but only took a few bites as two family members are diabetics and we don't get desserts but wanted to try since they were so highly rated. It was a cupcake with strawberry mousse inside. We won't be back just wanted to try this restaurant since it was new but like other places better

Pros:

themeing

Cons:

rude castmember, long lines,

We got in line at about 10:30 on Tuesday, 3/26. The line was about halfway across the bridge. It took us about 20 minutes to get to the ordering screens. There was a castmember there to help with the process. I could see where it could slow the process down if there wasn't someone there to help. It took several swipes of the credit card and switching to another before the order was processed.

We took our "rose" and found a table in the Library. It is smaller than the ballroom and about the same size as the West Wing. I enjoyed the scenery in this room the best. It was quiet and relaxing.

We only waited a few minutes for our lunches to arrive - 2 Croque Monsieur sandwiches and 1 Grilled Steak Sandwich. We all enjoyed our sandwiches. But, the best part of the meal was the Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake! DD and I shared the Strawberry and Triple Chocolate cupcakes and we both thought the Strawberry cupcake took the cake! Absolutely delicious!

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would return, but only if we got there early again. I would like to try dinner there.

Pros:

Lots of seating, interesting scenery

Cons:

Long line, still working out kinks

We were able to get in for a quick service snack on 4/1/13 at 10:15am. The restaurant had just opened at 10AM and there was a very short line so we decided to try and get in. We ended up waiting in line for about 20 minutes before we ordered at a self-serve kiosk. We already had reservations at the Plaza for noon, so we just ordered desserts (cupcakes). Even though the restaurant had only been open for 30 minutes, the Rose dining room was already full! We were seated in the Ballroom. All of the rooms are impressively themed and are spectacular to see. The cupcakes we had were very good, better than normal Disney desserts. The real attraction to this restaurant is the décor – well worth the wait to see. We’ll be back when we can get dinner reservations.

Pros:

Great decor and theme

Cons:

Gets crowded
