For a quick service this is good. Food is decent and quickly served. They had Star Wars cupcakes as a dessert option on our dining plan and they were wonderful!

I'm not a big quick service fan, but we ate dinner here the day we visited the Studios 12/9/12 because it had a vegetarian option, it was already nearly 8 and we didn't want to do sit down with our toddler. They were super nice and took us even though they were trying to close for the night. Their vegetarian sandwich was better than the one at AK and the gingerbread cupcake was amazing. It wasn't super sweet and the frosting was a tangy cream cheese one and not buttercream, definitely worth the calories!

Pros:

The gingerbread cupcake!

Cons:

It seemed like it could be noisy when crowded

It's your typical theme park food. Nothing crazy. The wookie cookie is the standout dish and is really good. Everything else is just ok, but there is food for pickey eaters.

Pros:

Wookie cookie

Cons:

Generic food

We're a family of four with two adventurous eaters (adults) and two picky eaters (kids). We ate lunch at Backlot Express in July 2022. My husband and I both ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad which was very good and light enough for a hot summer day. My older son (9) had the adult chicken strip meal with the four strips which was so nice because many restaurants only have the small child's portion (two strips) on the menu, and we often had to augment his order at other restaurants during our trip. The younger was happy with his two chicken strips, yogurt, and french fries. We were there during the lunch rush when it was very crowded and so we felt fortunate to find an indoor table. The self-fill drink station was a big plus for us.

Pros:

Good options for our family Indoor seating Self-serve drinks Good options for my big kid

Cons:

Enormous lunch crowd

Stopped by for lunch during a busy time frame. After searching around we did find a table for 6 in the back near the drink station. My party had basic burgers, kids chicken and kids mac and cheese. The kids meals are great since they come with 2 sides and a beverage. Having a refill station for water is worth the walk to this place. It is crowded and noisy but you will have a good basic meal. I had to try the Two deserts that everyone raves about. the Wookie Cookie was soft, tasty and huge, the favorite among us. The blondie brownie was also shareable and very tasty. I enjoy most Disney desserts but I don\\'t think I would call either of these Amazing.

Pros:

Drink station is worth the walk Variety of basic food options

Cons:

Can be very busy and hard to find an indoor table

I liked that I was able to easily order lunch at backlot express and I had a wonderful spot to sit in the air conditioning. They have tons of topping packets so makes dipping your fry’s and chicken strips super easy. Nothing too special for food just burgers. Loved also watching the cavalcade come by while we were leaving.

Pros:

Lots of seating, air conditioning, lots of sauces to chose from

Cons:

Not a lot of variety, theme park eats.

We ate here a couple of weeks ago for dinner. I had the chicken strips and my husband had the bacon burger. My chicken strips were fine, but on the dry/hard side. My husband thought the burger was pretty good. We went there mostly for the Wookie Cookie which was great! It was huge and definitely worth the price. We could barely eat it all between the two of us!
I would definitely recommend getting the cookie if nothing else from here.

Pros:

The Wookie Cookie!!

Cons:

Dry chicken strips.

I wouldn’t say it’s anything to write home about but it certainly wasn’t bad. If you’re in that area of Hollywood Studios, I think this is a perfectly fine place to grab some food! Studios is kind of a weak park for foods, so eating here was totally fine!

Pros:

Decent food

Cons:

None

Ate here twice in Jan 2019 out of convenience and because the kids loved the honey mustard here. Chicken tenders were good, burgers were a bit bland and dry (which is pretty typical of a Disney quick service but without the toppings bar). We liked grabbing a table outside to watch the Padawan show, which is very cute.

Pros:

good Padawan show viewing from outside, good honey mustard

Cons:

burgers are meh
