Jan. 05 - Mar. 06Downtown Disney : Downtown DisneyStar Wars: Secrets of the Empire Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire is a hyper-reality experience coming to Downtown Disney that will allow guests to walk through the Star Wars universe, combining physical sets with real-time interactive special effects. Jan. 08 - Jun. 22Pixar Pier : Disney California AdventurePixar Pier Pixar Pier will transform the current Paradise Pier area into four new neighborhoods inspired by Pixar stories. The first new neighborhood will be based on "The Incredibles." Additional neighborhoods inspired by "Toy Story" and "Inside Out" will open at a later date.
Jan. 08 - Jun. 22Pixar Pier : Disney California AdventureCalifornia Screamin' As part of the new Pixar Pier area, the California Screamin' attraction will be permanently transformed into the Incredicoaster, with new character moments, scenes, and a new musical score.

The initial remodeling phase of the western half of the store is complete and it has re-opened. The eastern half is now closed.
Jan. 26 - Feb. 18Disney California Adventure : Disneyland ResortLunar New Year Celebration The Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure expands to 24 days in 2018, from Friday, January 26 through Sunday, February 18. Highlights include "Mulan's Lunar New Year Procession", the World of Color pre-show "Hurry Home - Lunar New Year Celebration", live musical performances, and meet and greets with Disney characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Mushu, and Mulan, dressed in the Lunar New Year attire. Foods inspired by Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures will be available at three Asian marketplaces, and the Paradise Garden Grill will feature a Lunar New Year menu.
