July 2023

Oct. 4, 2021 - Nov. 10th, 2023Disneyland Park : Disneyland ResortTarzan's Treehouse Tarzan's Treehouse will close for refurbishment beginning October 4th, 2021. Disney has revealed that the attraction is being rethemed to an adapted version of the original Swiss Family Treehouse concept that Walt and his Imagineers envisioned in 1962.
February 17th, 2023 - Tiana’s Palace Restaurant will replace this locationDisneyland Park : Disneyland ResortFrench Market This Disneyland restaurant closed permanently on February 17th, 2023, in order to make way for the NEW Tiana’s Palace restaurant. The new spot will feature food inspired by Disney’s The Princess and the Frog.
April 3rd - Jul. 01Disneyland Park : Disneyland ResortBig Thunder Mountain Railroad Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will close for refurbishment starting April 3rd, 2023. A reopening date has not been announced at this time.
February 17th, 2023 - TBADisneyland Park : Disneyland ResortMint Julep Bar The Mint Julep Bar is also closed as Disneyland works on Tiana’s Palace, but it’s going to reopen as part of the new restaurant.
April 2023 - September 5thNew Orleans Square : Disneyland ParkFantasmic! During a spring performance of Fantasmic! in Disneyland, the Maleficent dragon (who is supposed to breathe fire during the show) caught on fire. After the incident, the show was suspended indefinitely and Disney released a statement that it would temporarily suspend fire effects at select shows GLOBALLY “out of an abundance of caution.”

The show started off as a fictional Broadway musical but now it has come to life…for REAL. According to Disney, this new show explores “universal themes of heroism, romance, and self-discovery” and is an “exhilarating and heartfelt experience for Super Hero fans, theater enthusiasts, and families alike.”
