Jan. 10 - Jul. 29Frontierland : Disneyland ParkRivers of America Attractions Disneyland Railroad and most Rivers of America attractions (including Fantasmic!) are closed temporarily to make room for the construction of the new Star Wars land. Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island has re-opened. Fantasmic! opens on July 17. Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes, Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia and Disneyland Railroad reopen on July 29.

Jan. 08 - Spring 2017Grand Californian : HotelsGrand California Pool Area Refurbishment All pools at the Grand Californian are closed while the entire pool and cabana area is refurbished. To minimize guest disruption, any activities that may create noise will not start before 9:00 a.m. Guests may use the pools and waterslides at the Paradise Pier Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel. Shuttle service from the entrance to the Grand Californian to the other resorts is available for those wishing to use the pools.

Jan. 20 - Feb. 05Disney California Adventure : Disneyland ResortLunar New Year Celebration Special foods and merchandise, live performances by local community groups, and unique character meet and greet opportunities. A new World of Color pre-show called "Hurry Home," will tell the story of a Little Lantern journeying home to join its family for the Lunar New Year celebration.
Jan. 20 - Aug. 20Disneyland Park : Disneyland ResortMain Street Electrical Parade The Main Street Electrical Parade moves from Florida to California for a limited encore engagement at Disneyland in 2017. The parade was originally scheduled to run until June 18, but has been extended through August 20.

Feb. 10 - Mar. 19Hollywood Land : Disney California AdventureBeauty and the Beast Sneak Peek The Sunset Showcase Theater in Hollywood Land hosts an extended sneak peek at the upcoming live action film, "Beauty and the Beast". The sneak peak will feature special in-theater effects. Props and costumes will be on display in the lobby. The film, starring Emma Watson as Belle, opens in theaters on March 17.

2019 - Early 2023Disneyland Park : Disneyland ResortMickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway (DLR) The first major Mickey-themed ride-through attraction, is coming to Disneyland’s Mickey’s Toontown in Early 2023 as part of the reimagination of Mickey’s Toontown. The ride will be housed in the El CapiTOON Theater, where Mickey and Minnie are premiering their newest short, Perfect Picnic.
