#4: Harambe Nights in Animal Kingdom – Review (June 12, 2014)

Show Hosts: Deb Wills, Deb Koma and Linda Eckwerth
Length: 14 minutes 47 seconds

SYNOPSIS: Harambe Nights is a brand-new, limited time experience designed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of "The Lion King." Harambe Village and its people are the hosts for this experience, which allows the popular story to be told in a new and creative way. There are three main components to the experience: 1) Welcome Reception, 2) The Lion King in the Wild Show, and 3) Harambe Street Party.

The Lion King Concert in the Wild tells the story of Simba with a celebrity narrator, live orchestra, chorus and dancers, enhanced by clips for the animated feature.

This is a ticketed event ($119 adults and $79 children 3-9) held after-hours at Animal Kingdom. Plentiful food, unlimited selection of beers and wines, rum "juice", and soft drinks. Disney Characters, including Mickey and Minnie in African attire, Goofy, Pluto, Timon and Rafiki, walk around for photographs during the Harambe Street party.
