“I Had Many Demands And They Were All Met” — Quincy Has THOUGHTS on the New Muppets Ride at Hollywood Studios

While Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets doesn’t open to the public for a few more days, May 26th, we got a chance to experience the ride early thanks to a special event!

Quincy at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster!

Quincy was front and center to represent the company, and while the rest of us lived vicariously through her and listened to her notes, we kept in mind that she can be a tough critic, especially when it comes to her love of the Muppets (though Emma’s love remains unbeaten). When all was said and done and we asked her what her honest thoughts were, we feel it can all be summed up in one sentence — “I Had Many Demands And They Were All Met.”

Immediately following her first ride through, Quincy said, “written words aren’t enough, here’s a video” and honestly? That was PERFECT, because we all really got a feel for her true takes on the ride. What we got from it? Well, it’s VERY Muppet-y, as it should be (Quincy and the whole team are in agreement on that), and the Easter Eggs are RELENTLESS throughout the ride.

So many Easter Eggs!

Quincy really appreciated that, though, because when you think about The Muppets, you realize just how much history they have. Jim Henson launched “The Muppet Show” all the way back in 1976, but the Muppets first made an appearance on the short-form television series “Sam and Friends,” which ran from 1955 to 1961. Yes, that means there’s over 70 YEARS of Muppets to pay homage to in the ride, and we’ve never been so grateful there are so many places to hide nods to the past in the queue and the ride itself.

Details are everywhere!

That’s far from all, though, because the ride also pays homage to the former version of the attraction, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. Quincy felt this was very important, because that version of the ride was not only the original, but it was around for 27 years, as it opened back in 1999. We think it’s great that while Disney TOTALLY Muppet-ified the ride, there are also plenty of Easter Eggs to find that remind you where this ride all started.

You’ll have to look closely to find all the Easter Eggs!

Something Quincy especially loved is that Statler and Waldorf not only made the transfer over from Muppet*Vision 3D, but are still bolted to the seats! Yep, they’re stuck listening to The Electric Mayhem jam out for all eternity, but is it better than seeing Muppet*Vision 3D over and over again? That’s a question only they can answer.

Quincy also commented on her love for the fact that there’s a LOT more Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker, because hey, who doesn’t love them! You’ll see them both in the pre-show room…

Oh, hey Beaker!

…but you’ll also see them throughout the ride and the rest of the ride’s queue as well. You’ll even get a look at the Muppet Labs vehicle and logo at the loading station, which is a fantastic addition, if you ask Quincy.

Muppet Labs!

So Quincy’s overall review? Muppet fans will be extremely happy, and those who love roller coasters will be happy to know that the coaster itself hasn’t been changed at all. It’s still thrilling, fun, and will cause you to scream your head off (but now you sometimes just have The Muppets yelling along with you, in true Muppet fashion).
