There’s a Reason This Canada Pavilion Restaurant Is One of the Hardest Reservations to Book in EPCOT

With steak being a common meal at many Walt Disney World restaurants, “Where’s the best steak?” is a common question.

For many guests, the answer lies in the Great White North… err…. the east side of World Showcase. For nearly three decades, Le Cellier — located in EPCOT’s Canada Pavilion — has been a favorite of many Disney World guests thanks to its location, upscale ambiance, and a menu featuring steaks and poutine!

Le Cellier Steakhouse is located in the Hotel du Canada building in the pavilion, which is based on the real Château Laurier hotel in the Canadian capital of Ottawa. The space, which originally opened as the buffet-style Le Cellier cafeteria, opened as the current iteration of Le Cellier in 1997.

The restaurant is themed to be the hotel’s wine cellar, with decorative elements including stone arches, deep brown tables, and a candlelit aesthetic that helps create the illusion.

Le Cellier’s menu features a selection of steaks, seafood, appetizers, and other “seasonal offerings inspired by the provinces of Canada.” Some of our favorite offerings include Filet Mignon…

… or the Cauliflower Steak for those looking for a plant-based alternative to beef…

… Oysters Rockefeller…

… Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup….

… and — of course — arguably the most iconic Canadian dish at all: Poutine.

While some popular restaurants may not live up to the hype, we don’t think that’s the case for Le Cellier. As we wrote in our most recent review, the restaurant “still feels special with fantastic food that the chefs have really put some thought into, even if you’re on a plant-based diet. The service is also generally incredible, and the menu has a variety of options to please just about anyone.”

Don’t just take our word for it, though; many of our readers are big fans as well. In a 10/10 review, reader BrianR wrote, “This was by far the best restaurant that we ate at during our trip”, while reader Scott88513 shared in an 8/10 review that Le Cellier was “a Disney World classic that is still crushing it.”

A final heads up before we go here: If you find yourself unable to secure a reservation for the popular restaurant, you MAY still be able to enjoy some of Le Cellier’s food… as long as you’re at EPCOT during Food & Wine Festival Season! You see, during the festival, the food at the Canada booth is directly from the restaurant!

This includes Filet Mignon with Mushrooms and Mashed Potatoes featuring Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese…

… and the Cheese Soup!
