This Is the Worst Disney World Hotel Review We’ve Ever Seen

Disney World is home to some incredible hotels, but not every hotel is the perfect fit for every traveler.

BoardWalk

Some Disney World resorts are extravagantly themed, while others are just straight-up extravagant. Depending on what it is you’re looking for, you might find that the perfect hotel for you is a little off the beaten path. But, sometimes you end up not loving the hotel you chose, and that seems to be the case here with the worst Disney World hotel reviews we’ve ever seen.

Did you know that here on AllEars, we’ve got a HUGE database of reviews for all kinds of Disney World things? It’s true, and that’s where we’re headed today. Over on the AllEars review page for Disney World hotels, we stumbled upon a couple of different reviews for Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Villas, and we think we may need to head to the ER after these burns!

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Villas Resort is a Deluxe, Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort located on Disney’s Boardwalk — an Atlantic City-style boardwalk with several restaurants, lounges, and entertainment locations.

BoardWalk is located in the Epcot resort area, just across Crescent Lake from Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts and near the Dolphin and Swan hotels. You can walk to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios from the BoardWalk.

It’s a popular hotel for many, but a few of our readers didn’t have such a pleasant experience on their most recent stays.

BoardWalk Lobby

One reader, who goes by sreynold5 on the site, recently stayed at the BoardWalk for the second time since their first time was so lovely. But unfortunately, this second time was not as great. They didn’t enjoy having to “take 2 elevators and a staircase to get out to the Boardwalk Bakery/drink refill station” and said that other than the beds and pull-out sofa, there was nowhere to sit in their room and no tables.

Sreynolds5 also said, “I know that Disney now calls their mini fridges ‘beverage coolers,’ but they should call them ‘barely coolers.'” It’s clear that this person no longer believes the BoardWalk is the right hotel for them based on the review below.

Another review is just as scathing, if not more, left by an anonymous reviewer. This three-out-of-ten-star review says that “the cons absolutely outweigh the pros especially when you factor in how exorbitantly expensive this place is” and that they “encountered one genuinely polite Cast Member.”

This reviewer thought that the food served at the BoardWalk restaurants was “worse than the food inside the parks.” Of course, we’re not quite sure where they dined, but that’s a pretty bold statement either way! But, the real kicker is in the “Cons” section of the review, which says, “This hotel is just a gussied-up Hampton Inn.”

Those are some harsh words! The BoardWalk hotel is a beautiful place that’s loved by many (including us!), but this just goes to show that not every Disney World hotel is right for everyone, and that your experiences may vary.

  1. WDW is now a terrible place full of greed. Zero value and rely on people’s nostalgia to charge ridiculous prices to go on rides that barely would pass for a carnival. Take away nostalgia and pirates, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, haunted mansion and little mermaid rides are literally just slow moving track rides that no one would care about unless you have some weird childhood fetish. Let it go (Elsa’s words not mine). Unless y’all like spending 80 dollars on sub McDonald’s quality food and 140 bucks to have the ‘privilege’ to than drop another 100 plus to do more than 3 rides in 9 hours. Walt has been dead for 50 years and nothing he stood for is current with todays conglomerate overlords.
