You can always spot a Gen Z Disney adult at Disney World. All you’ve gotta do is just follow the vibe.

This a whole new generation of Disney lovers, and they do the parks very differently than their millennial predecessors. If you’re heading to the parks, you’ll definitely notice Gen Z habits all over Disney World.
Now, as someone who probably spends way too much time people-watching at Disney World (it feels like it’s a professional requirement at this point), I’ve noticed some distinct patterns with our Gen Z park guests. While millennials might be all about the Disney bounding and wall photos, Gen Z has their own unique way of experiencing the magic. And you know what? Honestly? Some of their park habits are pretty genius.
Cosmic Rewind
Let’s be real. Gen Z Disney adults have turned getting a virtual queue spot for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind into something like an Olympic sport.

They’re setting multiple alarms, joining Discord servers for queue drops, and treating 7 AM like it’s the most important time of day.

And once they get on, you better believe they’re filming their reaction to whichever song they get. It’s literally science at this point. I mean, if a Gen Z rides Cosmic Rewind and doesn’t post their reaction, did they even ride it?
Snacks Over Sit-Down Meals
Gone are the days when people would plan their entire day around dining reservations. Gen Z Disney adults are all about the snack life, and they’re doing it with style. You’ll find them hunting down those cheeseburger spring rolls in Magic Kingdom like they’re on a mission from above.

Also, they’re not trying to fill up on one big meal. They’re sampling everything that’s picture-worthy and sharing bites with their squad. It’s like a progressive dinner but make it Disney.
Minnie Ears in Every Store
While the rest of us might grab one pair of Minnie ears for our trip, Gen Z has turned ear-shopping into a full-blown quest. Every store is an opportunity to find that perfect pair that nobody else has posted on TikTok yet.

They’re checking the Disney Store daily for drops, following ear designers on Instagram, and treating their ear collection like it’s a curated art gallery. The dedication is real, and honestly pretty impressive.
Tote Life
Speaking of accessories, have you noticed all those character face tote bags?

Gen Z Disney adults aren’t just carrying any old park bag. They’re sporting those adorable character totes that also somehow manage to hold an impossible amount of stuff.

From Stitch to Baby Yoda, these bags have become their new park status symbol. And the best part is that they’re usually way more affordable than traditional Disney bags.
Mini Plushies
Remember when people would buy one big plush as a souvenir? Gen Z said “nah” to that and instead created the mini plush bag charm trend.

These tiny versions of beloved characters dangle from their backpacks and tote bags like the world’s most adorable charm bracelet. It’s brilliant really.

They take up less space, cost less money, and you can collect more of them. Plus, they make for some really cute park photos.

The thing about Gen Z Disney adults is that they’ve been revolutionizing how to do Disney. They’re less focused on doing everything “right” and more interested in creating their own traditions. And you know what? Maybe they’re onto something. Their approach to Disney is less about rigid planning and more about finding joy in the little things. They’re creating their own kind of magic, and it’s actually pretty refreshing to see.

So the next time you’re in the parks and see a group of twenty-somethings coordinating their Lightning Lane strategies while wearing matching ears and mini plush-decorated bags, just know they’re not just visiting Disney World, they’re reinventing it.
