Wow, oh wow, Disney just dropped some huge news on us about the new Monsters, Inc. Land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Disney officially confirmed that it will be built in the Muppets Courtyard area of Hollywood Studios AND that The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. But that is not all we learned today!
The new Monsters, Inc. Land was initially announced during the 2024 D23 Expo. Disney introduced the land along with concept art for the suspended coaster that would be built in the land. Well, now we have confirmation that another attraction will also be coming to this new land!

In addition to announcing the location of the Monsters, Inc. Land and the retheming of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, we also found out that a new theater show will be coming to the area.

Based on the concept art that was released, it looks like the new show will be coming to the theater that currently houses Muppet*Vision 3D. Disney didn’t release any more details about this new show, but we will be sure to keep you updated with any more announcements!

We are sure Disney fans are having a lot of thoughts about all the news that was dropped today. The good news is that Disney did state that there will still be time to get another limo ride in with Aerosmith and catch another showing of Muppet*Vision 3D, however, Disney hasn’t announced an official closing date yet.

As announced at the 2024 D23 Expo, construction on the new Monsters, Inc. Land is expected to begin next year, but we don’t know any more details about the timeline other than that.

Devastated. So many other options for Monsters Inc but instead, they’re going to remove one of the most clever, intelligent shows in the park to do it.
