The View From Disney’s Contemporary Resort Is About To Get Even BETTER!

We’re getting pretty excited about Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe.

Epic Universe will be Universal Orlando’s third park and will feature five themed lands with new rides, entertainment, restaurants, and more. We’ve been following along with the construction of Epic Universe, too, but did you know you could get a peek at Epic Universe construction in a random place you’d NEVER expect?

So, it looks like you can actually see Epic Universe from one Disney World hotel, Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This photo posted by @bioreconstruct on X shows the view of Epic Universe’s Grand Helios Hotel and the Stardust Racers roller coaster attraction.

Granted, this is zoomed in, so you might not see it this clearly with the naked eye, but it just goes to show just how tall the Grand Helios Hotel and Stardust Racers are. Stardust Racers is about 133 feet tall and 5,000 feet long, after all. It will end up being one of the largest steel roller coasters in the U.S.

Epic Universe will also feature five themed lands, including an original themed land called Celestial Park, which will act as the central point of the park. Celestial Park will feature hubs to the other four parks: How To Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic.

Epic Universe is set to open in 2025 and will also feature three new hotels. The Universal Grand Helios Hotel will be located inside the park with its own dedicated entrance to Celestial Park. The Terra Luna and Nova Stella Nova Resorts will be located next to the new park.

So the next time you find yourself at Disney’s Contemporary Hotel, be sure to squint into the distance (or use the zoom on your phone or camera) — you could see Universal Orlando’s new theme park.

  1. Why is it that Universal can build a COMPLETE theme park in 3 yrs & Disney takes 5 yrs for a single ride providing they don’t pull the plans after they announce it?!
