Who else brings their dog with them pretty much everywhere?
If you can’t bear to leave your furry friend behind when you visit Disney World, then there are quite a few options for you. Yes, you CAN bring your dog to Disney World. No, they don’t even need to be an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) or Service Animal. We’re going to tell you all you need to know, because the policy just got some EXCITING updates.
There are four different hotels on Disney World property that are pet-friendly. Those are:
- Disney’s Yacht Club ResortÂ
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside
- Disney’s Fort Wilderness Cabins
If you choose to stay at any of these locations with your dog, you’ll receive an adorable Pluto’s Welcome Kit to make your stay more comfortable! However, if your dog gets a bit anxious when you leave them during the day and has a tendency to bark or get destructive, that won’t fly with Mickey.
So, what a lot of folks do is take their furry friend to Best Friend Pet Hotel that’s located on Disney property for doggy daycare. The folks here know that it’s annoying to have to take your dog to the pet hotel when you’re trying to get to the parks, especially if you don’t have a car. So, Best Friends actually has a transportation service where they’ll pick up your dog each morning and deliver them home each evening. Neat, huh?!
Previously, the transportation service was only offered for Yacht Club and Fort Wilderness guests. However, on January 15th, the service expanded to include Port Orleans and Art of Animation!Â
Now, for $25 round trip, you can arrange transportation for your pet at each of the four dog-friendly hotels. Just make sure to check the Best Friends Pet Hotel website for pick-up and drop-off times, as those are subject to change and space is limited.
