Big CHANGE to Disney World Hotel Transportation Takes Effect Today

We’re back with some Disney World transportation news!

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

We’ve seen a lot of changes to Disney World transportation recently with the addition of an Encanto-themed Skyliner car, the opening of the Brightline Train Station at Orlando Airport, and the return of parking trams to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Now, we’ve got some exciting news to share about a change at three hotels!

Disney recently announced that the boats that run between Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will return! This “blue route”, as Disney calls it, is coming back today, October 1st.

Fort Wilderness Dock

This is an exciting option if you’re staying at one of these hotels and looking to check out the atmosphere or dining options at the other resorts. The route will be available each day starting at 3PM.

Disney Vacation Planner

Want to travel between these three resorts in the morning? You can transfer using other transportation at Magic Kingdom instead. Hopefully, Disney can expand these hours in the future!

Boat

The boat route from Fort Wilderness to Magic Kingdom and Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom will remain separate from the “blue route.” Also, you will still be able to take a bus to Magic Kingdom at these resorts.
