Gideon's Bakehouse Announces Temporary CLOSURE in Disney World

Are you in the mood for a cookie? If you are, you’re more than likely thinking of Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs.

Well, we’ve got some news to share about that. If you’re headed to Disney Springs today and have Gideon’s Bakehouse on your list of must-dos, you’re going to have to adjust your schedule. That’s because Gideon’s Bakehouse is currently closed.

It seems that Gideon’s Bakehouse has been having some air-conditioning issues, which has caused the store to shut down. The cookie spot took to social media to explain the situation and inform visitors that the spot would be closed for now on today, August 31st.

This is just a temporary closure, though, and it seems like Gideon’s is doing its best to resolve the situation. It’s still pretty hot in Florida, so a/c is something that’s pretty much needed, especially in a dessert spot. So for now, if you’re craving a Gideon’s cookie, you’ll just have to wait.

Sometimes, you just really want a cookie

You might be able to satisfy that sweets craving by visiting Everglazed Donuts and Cold Brew, though. Or if it’s chocolate you want, Ghirardelli or The Ganachery could be a good bet.
