It feels like we’ve been waiting forever, but TRON Lightcycle / Run is ready for guests!
The coaster has been doing previews for certain groups of people and even though the ride officially opens on April 4th, TRON is soft opening on March 20th. There are only a couple of ways to get on the ride and we just got some more details about one of them.
There will not be a standby line for TRON Lightcycle / Run — the only way to get on the attraction is through a Virtual Queue or by purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane. Disney had not released the price (since it fluctuates day to day) to skip the line at TRON, but now we know how much you’ll have to pay.
If you want to grab an Individual Lightning Lane for TRON, it’ll cost you $20 on March 20th. You can buy the Lightning Lane through the My Disney Experience app.
On the morning of March 20th, Individual Lightning Lanes were sold out within minutes and the virtual queue filled up in seconds. Disney World hotel guests can purchase Individual Lightning Lanes starting at 7AM — regular park guests must wait until park opening, but they may be sold out already like we saw on the first day of soft opening.
As we mentioned above, the price for these Individual Lightning Lanes fluctuates like Genie+ depending on the demand for that day. We’ll keep an eye on the price of TRON to see the price range that you can expect.
We recommend trying to grab a boarding group through the virtual queue since that does not require an additional cost, but if you aren’t able to grab one, this is your next best option!
