WARNING: Genie+ May Be a Necessity in Disney World Right Now

Genie+ is one of the most controversial Disney World change in recent years, however it has become popular among guests.

When Disney World gets really busy, many are willing to spend part of their budget on Genie+ which will allow them to skip some of the lines. Genie+ even sold out recently for the first time ever. Why did the FastPass replacement sell out now, though? After you see these wait times, you’ll understand.

The wait times were slowly climbing last week, but there has been a huge jump at almost every ride in Disney World. Here’s what you can expect if you’re visiting Disney World soon!

Magic Kingdom

There are several tame wait times in Magic Kingdom still, however it’s now even harder to get on the most popular rides. Watch out for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight, Space Mountain, and Jungle Cruise.

Dumbo

Here are the average weekly wait times for each ride below, from shortest to longest wait times.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Rise of the Resistance almost DOUBLED its average wait time compared to last week with people waiting 152 minutes on average. Slinky Dog Dash and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster had long lines, but the latter is now closed for refurbishment.

EPCOT

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure has the longest wait time in EPCOT again, but you should also keep an eye on Frozen Ever After and Test Track. Although Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind does not have a regular standby line, here are some tips for how you can ride.

Flight of Passage is right up there with Rise of the Resistance — you’ll be waiting a long time for this attraction. This one does offer Individual Lightning Lanes which you can purchase separately from Genie+.
