7 Magic Kingdom Rides CLOSED Christmas Eve Morning

Happy holidays from Disney World!

Christmas in Magic Kingdom

We’re spending Christmas Eve in the parks bringing you all the latest info and news you can use to make your holiday Disney trip the best it can be. The parks can be pretty crowded during the holidays, and sometimes you might run into complications. If you’re in Magic Kingdom this morning — that’s exactly what’s happening.

Disney World is extra magical around the holidays, but that doesn’t mean things can’t still go wrong. Attractions are complicated feats of engineering, and the occasional mishap can happen that might render a ride unavailable.

For those spending the morning in Magic Kingdom, there are A LOT of ride complications they’re dealing with. When we checked My Disney Experience around 9:30AM, we saw that 7 Magic Kingdom attractions were listed as temporarily unavailable.  SEVEN!!!

The Barnstormer, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Splash Mountain, and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover faced temporary closures in Magic Kingdom.

Both Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain didn’t open with the park, and remained closed. Haunted Mansion and the Magic Carpets of Aladdin did open up a short time after being closed temporarily! It’s important to keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app so you know which rides are available during your visit.
