These planes will replace old, aging planes that are nearing retirement. United stated they are adding both Boeing 737 Max planes for domestic flights as well as Boeing 787s, which are larger jetliners. The airline is hoping to expand its international travel, which is exciting!

This new deal between United Airlines and Boeing sounds like some welcome positivity for two companies that have gone through some recent challenges. United, like many other airlines, lost money during the pandemic while would-be travelers stayed home. Boeing is also struggling to recover after a variety of issues, including production flaws, and other setbacks.

Your future trips with United might look a little different

What does this mean for you? This is a good sign that United is working to improve their fleet, and it shows expansion in the domestic and international market, so more flights should gradually be made available. Plus, you may get the chance to fly high on some brand-new planes soon! Their new planes are currently scheduled to debut between 2024 and 2028, so keep an eye out for your future trips.
