We’ve been embracing the Halloween season lately with a bunch of new announcements about Disney World’s upcoming Halloween party. But now it’s time to change gears because Disneyland just released a LOT of information about the holiday season!

From holiday ride overlays to festivals, character meet-and-greets to parades, check out some of the ways that Disneyland is celebrating this upcoming season.
The holidays will officially kick off in Disneyland Resort on November 11th, 2022, and the festivities will last through January 8th, 2023.

Here’s a look at some events happening at Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and the Disneyland hotels:
Disney California Adventure
In this park, there will be a huge Christmas tree on Buena Vista Street, and you can also catch holiday decorations in Cars Land.

The holiday version of the nighttime show “World of Color” will also be returning this year, called “World of Color — Season of Light.”

Festival of Holidays will also be returning this year, with marketplace booths that serve holiday-inspired snacks and drinks. This year’s festival takes place from November 11th through January 8th, and the Sip and Savor pass will be returning with it. There will be live entertainment, nightly concerts at the Palisades Stage, and all kinds of tasty eats.

Guests can watch “Mickey’s Happy Holidays,” which is a parade of Disney and Pixar characters that march to the rhythms of the Holiday Toy Drummers. You can also see the Disney Viva Navidad! street party in this park!

We know that the Mirabel meet-and-greet has been popular in the past, so guests will be excited to hear that the Encanto character is returning to Paradise Gardens Park.

And Santa Claus is also going to greet people in the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.

A couple of holiday ride overlays will be returning, including Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree.
Disneyland Park
You can spot more holiday decor in this park, including the iconic Main Street, U.S.A. Christmas tree and winter lights on Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.

Disney characters will be hanging out in Town Square in all-new holiday outfits. You can see even more characters in the “A Christmas Fantasy” Parade, which has floats, toy soldiers, dancing gingerbread cookies, and more. The parade — which features Anna, Elsa, and Olaf from Frozen and Mickey, Minnie, Santa, and others — runs in this park daily.

The holiday fireworks show is also returning, called “Believe…in Holiday Magic.” It features “snowfall” and projections on both Main Street, U.S.A. and “it’s a small world.” Head to Tomorrowland Terrace to catch nightly holiday dance parties with Goofy, Pluto, Chip, and Dale.

A couple more holiday ride overlays will return to Disneyland Park, including “it’s a small world” Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday.
Downtown Disney and Disneyland Hotels
Downtown Disney will have some holiday photo ops and decorations along with musical entertainment and specialty food and drinks at several restaurants.

All of the Disneyland hotels will be decorated for the holidays, and guests can spot carolers and meet Santa Claus at the hotels sometimes as well. The huge gingerbread house display will also be returning to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
