We’re just really excited about the return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year — despite the price tag. The Halfway to Halloween event and the release of the party’s tickets got us in the spirit, and ready to materialize in Magic Kingdom (puns intended)! We wanted to see if you guys were also excited for this party’s return, so we took to our Facebook to get your opinions!

We asked our readers on Facebook, “Will you be going to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party when it returns to Disney World?” Here are their responses!

Happy Haunts

While we had some disagreements, most of our readers were enthusiastic about returning to this party! One reader said, “1000 times yes.” Another reader said, “Yup got my tickets this morning! It will be my first time going.”

It’s really not so scary!

And costumes seemed to be a pretty exciting detail for a lot of our readers! One response said, “Yup, bought our tickets last week. Now to figure out costumes…” while another said, “Yes, it’s worth the cost!! The lines for the rides are so short and the costumes are great!”

Of course, the characters wear their best costumes, too!

One reader summed up most of the comments that were in favor perfectly with, “You get 8 hours in MK PLUS all the unique experiences (ride overlays and changes, parades, unique fireworks, rare characters) and you can pretend to be a kid again and dress up in costume and enjoy trick or treating!”

While the majority of the our readers said they were excited about the party, others said they weren’t planning on attending. Here’s why.

Too Frightening

Cost seemed to be the scariest factor for those not wanting to attend. One commenter said, Nope. Not worth the upcharge,” and another said, “No, thought about it since I will be there but the cost/benefit ratio isn’t there for me.”

Others felt that going once was good enough, and the price wasn’t worth attending the party again. One response said, “Nope, definitely a one and done for us.” Another response said, “Unfortunately, no. I have been many times and I am not willing to buy a ticket at the price point this year.”

Decorations

We also had some commenters say they prefer other Disney parties over Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! One commenter said, “We are opting out this year…I actually enjoyed boo bash last year,” and another commenter said, “No, but I’m hoping, maybe, for oogie, boogie bash in DL.” We even had a couple of readers who were looking forward to Christmas more, with one response saying, “We’re waiting for the return of the Very Merry Christmas Party.”
