It has been a wild two years for Disney Cruise Line!
The company is not only building and promoting their next new ship, the Disney Wish, but they’re also battling a pandemic. There have been many changes in travel restrictions and health and safety measures over the last 18 months or so, and so Disney has had to shift some policies for booking. And that’s exactly what they’re doing again today!
If you’re taking a Disney Cruise within the next few months, then you should know that the final payment deadline has been extended again. The website now states that “For sailings through September 30, 2022, we are temporarily extending final payment until 60 days prior to sailing for Guests booked in unrestricted categories.”
If you are sailing on the Disney Magic from May 8th-28th, 2022, or the Disney Wonder from April 21st-May 30th, 2022, the final payment deadline has been extended to 30 days before sailing for Guests in unrestricted categories.
If you’re traveling with Disney Cruise Line soon, you may get an email notification about this change. In addition to the change in the final payment deadline, they have also relaxed the cancellation fee policy. Here’s what you need to know:
- For sailings through September 30, 2022, the cancellation fee schedule has been temporarily relaxed from beginning as early as 119 days prior to sailing to beginning 59 days prior to sailing for Guests booked in non-Suite and non-Concierge categories.
- For Guests booked in Suite and Concierge categories, and Guests booked on the June 9, 2022 Disney Wish Maiden Voyage, cancellation fees in excess of the deposit amount will temporarily begin at 59 days prior to sailing.
- Reservations for Inside, Outside, and Verandah Categories with Restrictions remain nonrefundable and nontransferable.
- Guests sailing on the Disney Magic from May 8th-28th, 2022 or the Disney Wonder from April 21st-May 30th, 2022, the relaxed cancellation fee schedule is now 29 days prior to sailing.
In terms of cruise date flexibility policies, that has also been updated. The website now notes that for any sailings on or before May 31st, 2022, guests can change their sail date up to 15 days before their departure. If a guest decides to change their sail date, they have to move it to one that starts before May 31st, 2023.
We’ll make sure to keep you updated on any more changes to booking policies, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
