The company is not only building and promoting their next new ship, the Disney Wish, but they’re also battling a pandemic. There have been many changes in travel restrictions and health and safety measures over the last 18 months or so, and so Disney has had to shift some policies for booking. And that’s exactly what they’re doing again today!

If you’re taking a Disney Cruise within the next few months, then you should know that the final payment deadline has been extended again. The website now states that “For sailings through December 31st, 2022, we are temporarily extending final payment until 60 days prior to sailing for Guests booked in unrestricted categories.”

  • For sailings through December 31st, 2022, the cancellation fee schedule has been temporarily relaxed to 59 days prior to sailing.
  • Reservations for Inside, Outside, and Verandah Categories with Restrictions remain nonrefundable and nontransferable.

In terms of cruise date flexibility policies, that has also been updated. The website now notes that for any sailings on or before September 30th, 2022, guests can change their sail date up to 15 days before their departure. If a guest decides to change their sail date, they have to move it to one that starts before September 30th, 2023.

  1. You have no idea how many cruises have been canceled due to a positive Covid test. After planning for months, and with great family anticipation, a family’s dreams can be wiped away in seconds. Imagine a family of four. With two little girls practically bursting with joy for an upcoming Christmas Cruise. Then imagine one little girl in that family unexpectedly testing positive for Covid. A child who never experienced one single symptom. A child with boundless energy and endurance. Then to test positive. Unthinkable. Now it’s suddenly canceled. Washed away like a wave in Castaway Cay. And to make it even worse, that innocent child feels responsible for the entire vacation going up in smoke. It could happen to you. And no, the child never exhibited any symptoms or fever or illness. So sad.
