NEWS: Universal Orlando Changes Face Mask Requirement for Vaccinated Employees

The past year has seen quite a few changes when it comes to health and safety guidelines at theme parks.

After both Universal Orlando and Disney World relaxed their mask policies earlier this year, we saw some changes in those policies later in the year. Although Disney World announced that masks would be required indoors again, Universal Orlando only required masks on employees working indoors.

However, that’s about to change. According to The Orlando Sentinel, Universal Orlando is dropping its mask requirement for employees who are vaccinated. The Sentinel reports that the Universal employee website said the change was a response to the lower number of positive COVID-19 cases in the area. It also noted that if vaccinated employees still want to wear masks while on the job, they can do so.

Employees who are not vaccinated will still be required to wear masks indoors. Back in August, the company began requiring all employees to share their vaccination status, however, they do not currently require employees to be vaccinated.
