Disneyland has been reopened for a little under a month now!
Disney continues to use the Park Pass Reservation system to manage capacity limits in the parks, and we’ve been seeing reservations fill up to capacity pretty quickly this month — especially for Disneyland Park. So, what does a sold-out day look like in Disneyland right now? Let’s take a look!
It turns out that you can already start noticing the crowds just when you’re driving into Disneyland! We got to the park this morning and there was already a pretty long line that backed up over the bridge just to get into the parking garage.
Cast Members were rerouting cars towards the Pixar Pals parking lot and then back into the Mickey and Friends parking garage to keep the line moving a bit.
The lines even continued to the park entrance. Unlike Disney World, Disneyland is still requiring that guests wear face masks outdoors and go through a temperature screening before entering the park. So, there was a bit of a line-up for the checkpoint and security.
And, it was one pretty serious line!
Once in the park, it definitely felt more crowded and the Main Street cars were trying to carefully navigate around all the guests saying hi to Mickey and friends at the Main Street Train Station.
And, down Main Street U.S.A. there was a little more room to walk, though there were still some crowded points.
But, with the limited capacity, we still found a lot of extra room in areas around the park!
Disneyland Park reservations are booked up already through June, though Disney may be able to increase capacity from the current 25% limit if Orange County (which is where Disneyland is located) moves into the Yellow Tier in the next few days. We will continue to keep an eye out for updates, so stay tuned!
