Disney World has so many surprises for guests when they visit, other than its popular attractions and restaurants!
The parks and resorts previously operated with mailing services that allowed guests to send certified Disney mail back home. Recently, though, the mailboxes have been locked without the option to send off mail.
However, while we were visiting Guest Relations, a Cast Member informed us that the park’s mailboxes have been removed.
These mailboxes have been a special way to send a postcard back home or to your loved ones. We’ll have to keep an eye on the other parks to see if more mailboxes are removed any time soon.
While other places like Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom also have mailboxes, we’ll update you on the mailing operations in Disney World! And, we’ll be sure to give you a look at everything else happening in the parks throughout the rest of the year!

I think its just like any other refurbishment of a old ride. Keeping up with time means change. Even though I grew up in post card era I can’t remember the last time I sent one. Technology allows us to “post” any picture with any message to unlimited numbers of people at once. Post cards are definitely on the endangered list if not extinct!
Sad. Those were great antiques that helped that Main Street USA immersive feeling. You can’t even find a postcard to buy at WDW nowadays.
It’s sad that you can’t send a postcard from The Magic Kingdom anymore.
With so many layed off and so many new immigrants and citizens layed off, where is all the money going to come from??? The few working??? Wont that make them poor too?
