Florida has been slowly re-opening under Governor DeSantis’ phased re-opening plan.
While Gatorland and Fun Spot America are set to open to guests during Phase Two, many other major theme parks aren’t predicted to re-open until June.
Since there are many factors to consider with re-opening Florida, Vice President Mike Pence will be meeting with Governor Ron DeSantis in Orlando to discuss next steps.
While he is there, Pence will also be delivering personal protective equipment (or PPE) to nursing homes, according to Click Orlando News. The distribution of PPE is a part of the initiative to deliver equipment to more than 15,000 nursing homes nationwide.
Afterwards, he will discuss re-opening plans with hospitality and tourism industry leaders — including Florida’s phased re-opening plan.

My daughter is getting married at WDW on October 3rd and I have 8 DVC rooms at OKW booked for family (Boardwalk was completely filled). We haven’t had anyone say they’re not coming and the vast majority are looking to come 4 or 5 days before and or after the wedding to enjoy the parks. Sadly the two in-person wedding planning sessions have been postponed (End of April and just this week end of June). We will try once more at the end of July. The wedding is already planned, but mainly I want to taste all the food and cakes. Fingers crossed.
No I will not I have my great grand kids to think about first. I am a firefighter and first responders and don’t feel like it is safe at this time. I will put my life on the line but not willing to put them at rick, we do not know if this virus will return.
If WDW is open my son and I will be there from 8/10/8/19. Fingers crossed!
