Missing Disney World? Let’s Virtually Visit Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland!

While Walt Disney World remains closed during the global health crisis, AllEars is taking you on a daily walking tour of the World — something to remind us of our happy place while we await future visits.

Cinderella Castle

Today we’re taking you one further: not just into a land, but into imagination. Nope, we’re not at EPCOT. We’re taking a stroll through Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland!

Welcome to Fantasyland!

We start our journey where we left off: the Tangled Toilets! The details here are something special, so take a little time to find Pascal, reach for Eugene’s satchel, and admire Rapunzel’s artwork!

Tangled Toilets Details

At night, across from the Tangled Toilets, there’s a lovely floating lantern PhotoPass photo op. This one gets busy, so we’ll have to swing back here later to get ours.

Tangled Lantern PhotoPass

Continuing into Fantasyland from the restrooms, ‘it’s a small world’ is on our left. We can’t pass this iconic attraction without at least getting the earworm stuck inside our heads for the day.

“it’s a small world”

If you need it, here ya go!

Now that we’re humming that famous tune, time to cross the pathway and queue up for Peter Pan’s Flight. You know what — we’re better off getting a FastPass+ for this one.

Peter Pan’s Flight

Take flight with Peter Pan below!

After we soar in a flying pirate ship over London town, it’s time for a snack. Walk a little deeper into Fantasyland and cross the pathway again for Pinocchio Village Haus.

Pinocchio Village Haus

This Quick Service spot serves up real simple, Italian-inspired dishes. But our favorite thing about Pinocchio’s is the seating that has views onto ‘it’s a small world’. What can we say; we can’t get enough of this ride!

Grab a seat looking over ‘small world’

We’ll be noshing on some flatbread, if you want to know the truth. But breadsticks dunked in some tomato-basil soup sound good, too!

Flatbreads

Now we’re fueled up and ready for a spin on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel! Do you have a favorite horse? Let us know in the comments, you super fan!

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel

Across from the Carrousel, Mickey’s Philharmagic is entertaining guests. If you need a seat and some AC, go ahead and run in for a show!

Mickey’s Philharmagic

We’ll be over here, admiring the backside of a castle — Cinderella Castle! This icon is photogenic from all angles, but there’s something special about all the details along the back.

Back of Cinderella Castle

Sir Mickey’s is just here on the right (with the back of the Castle behind us), so we can stop in for a photo op! Check out details about this relatively new portrait studio here.

Sir Mickey’s

Just next door to Sir Mickey’s is Princess Fairytale Hall. There are two princess meets inside, with two princesses peopling each one. If you’re using FastPass+ here, you’ll need separate selections for each ‘hall’ of princesses.

Princess Fairytale Hall

These days you’ll typically find Cinderella and Tiana in one ‘hall’ and Rapunzel and Elena of Avalor in the other. But others have made appearances, including Aurora.

Princess Fairytale Hall

Continuing on, we find Friar’s Nook, also on our right. This has become the Park’s go-to spot for tater tots — plain and loaded! If you’ve worked up an appetite, stop in for a bowl (or two)!

Friar’s Nook

Prefer a sweet treat? Just go next door to Storybook Treats, where ice cream is the name of the game. You can even find a dairy-free Dole Whip creation here usually. But if you want a simple soft serve cone or a cookie sundae, they’ve got those, too!

Storybook Treats

Be careful your chocolate/vanilla swirl doesn’t melt as we cross the path toward the entrance for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. The Stand-by line is usually ginormous, so we’re not riding today. But if you’ve got a FastPass, go on in, and we’ll wait for you. (If you don’t see us when you get off, it’s because we went back for more ice cream.)

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Ride along with AllEars TV below!

After that fun, we’re in need of a break with our hunny — our hunny pot, of course! The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh are right across the path from the Mine Train.

Get your sugar, sugar with AllEars TV below!

Hungry again? Who could blame you! Time for a snack at Cheshire Cafe.

Cheshire Cafe

If you ask us, there’s only one way to go: the flaky, chocolate-laced goodie that is the Cheshire Cat Tail.

Cheshire Cat Tail

Enjoy your Tail as we stroll merrily over to the Mad Tea Party. If you’re riding, good luck. We just consumed two ice creams and a Cheshire Cat Tail, so it’s a no from us.

Mad Tea Party

From the Mad Tea Party, we continue on into ‘new’ Fantasyland (which, at 7.5 years old, isn’t so new anymore). We’re in Storybook Circus, which means it’s time for a true classic.

Storybook Circus

Dumbo. That’s right: we’re setting sail on The Flying Elephant! With an indoor queue that offers kids some fun and grown ups a break, Dumbo is a can’t-miss.

Dumbo

Let’s ride together, shall we? Click below!

Across from Dumbo you’ll find some fun merch at Big Top Souvenirs! You can grab a snack here, too, if you’re in the mood for a marshmallow wand, candy, or a caramel apple!

Big Top Souvenirs

Kids need a cool-down? They can get their splash on with Casey, Jr.! This splash zone is, thankfully, located near the Fantasyland Railroad Station restrooms, so when they’re soaking wet, you can get them changed back up and ready to move on.

Casey’s Jr. Splash zone

When the kids are ready, queue up for The Barnstormer featuring Goofy the Great Goofini! This kid-friendly coaster is a ton of fun and a good ice-breaker coaster for kids who aren’t sure if they’re ready for thrills.

The Barnstormer

You can get a taste of The Barnstormer below!

If you’re looking for a grand circle tour of Magic Kingdom, you’ll have to wait for TRON construction to cease so the Walt Disney World Railroad can resume its journey, but know that Fantasyland has its very own station (seen below when the trains were running!).

Train in Fantasyland Station

But for now, since the train is out of commission, we can backtrack a bit and head to Pete’s Silly Sideshow. Here you can meet some of your favorite pals: Donald, Goofy, Daisy, and…

Pete’s Silly Sideshow

… Minnie! They’re dressed to the nines, so get ready to pose!

Minnie Mouse

But you’re not done meeting up with friends just yet! Heading back into New Fantasyland, Ariel’s Grotto is on our right. The Little Mermaid meets inside, where life is the bubbles!

Ariel’s Grotto

And to go fully “Under the Sea” head to the attraction of the same name, right next door to Ariel’s Grotto!

Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid

Up on the shore they work all day, but if you watch the AllEars TV ride-through below, you’ll feel refreshed under the sea!

Prince Eric’s not too far away, though. In fact, his land-based Village Market is right across from Ariel’s ride. You can get a Turkey Leg, Mickey Pretzel, or other snacks here!

Prince Eric’s Village Market

As we turn into the Beauty & the Beast section of Fantasyland, we pass Bonjour Gifts on the right. You can find lots of movie-themed merchandise inside!

Be Our Guest pillows? We’ll take one!

If you need a pitstop, there’s a relatively out-of-the-way restroom tucked into this back corner of the Kingdom.

Beauty and the Beast Village Restrooms

And when you step out of Bonjour Gifts or head out of the bathrooms, Gaston’s Tavern is conveniently located right there! You’ll recognize it for the horns over the entrance. Or the giant statue of the Gaston out front.

Gaston’s Tavern

And apparently no one snacks like Gaston, cinnamon roll attacks like Gaston because this here is a tasty, absolutely enormous snack. Get one. Share. Enjoy.

Cinnamon Roll

When you leave Gaston’s, you’ll turn right and begin making your way back toward Fantasyland proper. But first, on your right is another castle — the Beast’s castle. It’s up there in the distance and can mean only one thing… .

Be Our Guest Castle

Be Our Guest Restaurant is coming up fast on our right! You’ll need to have booked an Advance Dining Reservation at 180-days out for this one (or get lucky with an ADR within your 180-day window).

Be Our Guest Restaurant

If you do dine in the Beast’s castle, drink in all the atmospheric details and enjoy some quality eats! Breakfast and lunch are Quick Service, and dinner is a Signature, prix fixe meal. We say lunch is the best value out of pocket, breakfast is the best use of a Disney Dining Plan credit (monetarily speaking), and dinner is a bit of a pass.

Dig in!

Our final attraction in Fantasyland is Enchanted Tales with Belle. We saved this for last because it’s pretty relaxing. Plus AC. (We plan ahead, people!)

Enchanted Tales with Belle

Belle solicits the help of her little friends, and the effects in the pre-show are really cool.

Enchanted Tales with Belle

Want some trivia and facts about Enchanted Tales with Belle? We’ve got an AllEars TV video for that!

We hope you enjoyed our walking tour of Fantasyland! Let us know in the comments where you’d like to go once our tour of Magic Kingdom is over. Another park? A resort? Tell us below!

  1. Hi your post has an incorrect fact on here. I’m a fantasyland cast member who works in fairytale hall. The meet and greet is Cinderella and Elena, then Rapunzel and Tiana. You have them mixed up.

  2. Thanx for doing these. We only go every few years but since we’re perpetually planning it’s great to have a virtual visit in these tough times. My family votes for more parks since that’s where we spend all our time there. EPCOT next please!
