Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood Announce Temporary Closures Through March in Response to Coronavirus

Today, Disney announced that Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and Disney World will all be closing due to concerns over the coronavirus outbreak.

And now, it looks like a fellow Orlando theme park will be closing as well.

Both Universal Studios Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood have announced that they will be temporarily closing for the remainder of March as well. Universal Orlando will close after end of day on Sunday, March 15th, with plans to remain closed through the end of the month, though they will continue to evaluate the situation.

During this time, CityWalk and Universal Orlando hotels will remain open. Universal has also confirmed that hourly workers will be paid for any work scheduled through the end of March. Universal Orlando released the following statement through their Twitter:

Universal Hollywood will close beginning on Saturday, March 14th, with current plans to reopen on March 28th. As with Universal Orlando, CityWalk and the Universal Hollywood hotels will remain open. Universal Hollywood released the following statement through Twitter:
