Now in its second year, Sunset Seasons Greetings joins in the Christmas celebrations in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This holiday offering features a multitude of festive projections on the Tower of Terror, complimented by holiday music. In addition to that, the billboards along Sunset Boulevard come alive with intros to the projections and holiday greetings with many favorite Disney characters. And of course, because it’s Disney, there’s “snow!”

As if all that weren’t enough, this year Disney added laser effects to the show, and that really lights things up!

Before the sun sets the Tower of Terror looks as it always does, spooky and imposing!

But, after the sun goes down the building transforms before your eyes into a towering Currier and Ives-inspired Christmas greeting, piles of presents, a gingerbread house, and even gets a visit from the Muppets!

What you think are billboards during the day are really very large screens that air intros to the projections. You’ll watch Olaf discover Christmas traditions, as well as get a greeting from the Christmas Carol gang.

After the show has cycled through all the projections you are treated to a surprising event for Florida — snow! (OK, it’s not real, but we all have really good imaginations, right?)

This year, with the addition of lasers, there’s even more color in the snow, and even more excitement along Sunset Boulevard.

We really enjoy this addition to the holidays at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s not the Osborne Spectacle of Lights, which ended a few years ago, but it’s bright, fresh and fun! Have you seen this show? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
