Minnie Van Service Now Available to Orlando International Airport

The Disney Minnie Van service introduced last year is now available for travel to and from Orlando International Airport for guests staying at any Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

Unlike the regular Minnie Van service, however, Minnie Van airport shuttle service reservations must be made by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. The shuttle service is available for flight arrivals from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and for flight departures from 9 a.m. to midnight. Each Minnie Van can hold up to six passengers and eight medium-sized suitcases. Up to three complimentary car seats can also be provided and ADA accessible vehicles are available. The price is $150 one way.

The original Minnie Van service continues to offer a convenient way for guests to travel to and from the theme parks, to dining reservations at Disney resort hotels, and shopping and dining at Disney Springs. To take advantage of it, just download the Lyft app to your mobile device, open it from anywhere at Walt Disney World Resort and select the Minnie Van service option. Then, follow the steps below:

Confirm your current pickup location.

Enter your Walt Disney World Resort destination and tap “Request.”

The app will display a map tracking the vehicle en route and give you an identifying vehicle number to help you spot your car.

With Lyft, you can request your ride from your smartphone and pay right through the app. The new Minnie Van service is an easy and friendly way to whisk your family off to the magic!

There is a flat $25 fee per trip for the service, which is available between 6:30 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. (Hours subject to change.)

  1. We tried it last trip for the first time. They picked us up right outside our room at OKW and took us to the Grand Floridian. It saved us time as we were pressed to get there for our dinner reservation at Citricos.

Very pleasant and direct. Of course it seemed that the Minnie van had to be just around the corner as it showed up very quickly. The cost was amenable to us to get where and when we needed to.

It is nice to know it’s there if we need it, but as a rule, Disney free transportation or even a less expensive taxi are more favorable if time isn’t an issue. But we can say we have done it and it worked well. No complaints at all. Drive was very cordial as well. Even took our picture next to the van since it was our first time. Nice touch.

  2. We just returned from WDW and we did use Minnie Van Service one night leaving AK. We did find it to be easy. My only two complaints are:
    1. The $25 cost seems high for me since when you are using the LYFT app it first shows you what cost would be if you used just a regular LYFT driver and the cost would have been $8.
    2. Also we ended up tipping the driver although the information is not clear out there if we should or if that is included in the $25 cost. Therefore our ride from AK to DS was $30.

We thought about using for airport and we may consider although we can get a town car for less or similar cost.
