Being a cardholder and having the photo pass is awesome. It worries me a little, but I think it's cool, that they use your magic band on the rides to get your photos on the app. So many opportunities for professional shots. And some can add "magic" to the shot. They do a great job.
Pros:
Magic, professional shots, no effort.Cons:
Disney "follows" you and your band.Reviewed by Jatill Review Date: 04/24/2019

We usually purchase the memory maker before our trips but we did not on our last visit since we were only at the park one day. We still stopped at photographers and enjoyed looking at them on the Disney app. We especially enjoyed the photos taken by a photographer in Adventureland. We did not pose or request a photo but he surprised us while we were enjoying a Dole Whip. The impromptu photo ended up being one of our favorites. We were glad to discover after our trip that we could purchase a download of this one shot.
Pros:
Everyone in the photo; creative shots; enjoy the extras like voice greetings and video.Cons:
Waiting in line at popular locations/venues!Reviewed by KimH134 Review Date: 04/21/2019

I love the Disney photopass. I purchase it prior to our arrival and save either 20 or 30 dollars. The pictures come out great, all ride photos are included also. The magic shots are funny, they even through in other pictures.
Pros:
Attraction ride photos and some short videos of you riding the rides.ex. mine trainCons:

This is an absolute must do every time we go. You’ll want pics of your group wether it’s a couple or a large family. Sure you can take pics yourself, and we always do. But it’s so nice to have picture of the group that has everyone in it or that’s not a selfie. Heck, I’d even do it if I were going by myself.
Pros:
Semi-professional pics of your trip in some of the best spots on the park. There are lots of picture spots and there is no limit to the number of spots you can get pictures at. Don’t forget the ride photos are included at no charge. You don’t have to worry about getting them after you ride. They’ll be attached to your magic band.Cons:
The price... maybe. However, if you are taking the trip, you might as well get the pass. Honestly, the price is small when compared to the entire stay with park tickets and food.Reviewed by Mike Review Date: 09/30/2018

I cannot go to a Disney park without Photo Pass. My family and I love it! We all get to be in the pictures. We get hundreds of photos from each trip. We can print all the photos we want at home for a fraction of the cost. The price is more than worth it in my opinion.
Pros:
All family members are in the pictures, somebody else is taking and storing photos for you, you can edit photos once you get home to add borders, autographs, and other effectsCons:

PhotoPass and MemoryMaker is hands down the best value for the money you can get in the parks. Always great photos and great customer service.
