The theming is fantastic but Flight of Passage was a let down for me. We got in line as soon as we arrived and it was about a 90 minute wait (we were there at parking opening.) It took forever just to get into actual queue space. But once in the line was definitely a part of the experience. The ride itself was not so great. The one room were in line for broke and we had to be moved to a different one. The ride it primarily a movie screen you are watching as the seat your on mimics riding a banshee. Those type of rides make me feel motion sick and this was no exception. I can ride Soarin' with no issues because it is mostly calm. However this one is a lot more sensory overload. None of the 3 of us go off feeling like it was worth the wait. We were glad we did it once...but never going to wait for over an hour to do it again. We did have a fast pass for the boat ride. It was cute enough. Probably the highlight was the Boba drink. The girls couldn't wait to try that!

Pros:

Disney theming is always amazing. Food/drink offerings are great.

Cons:

Long wait times, actual ride for F of P didn't live up to hype to us.

My absolute favorite ride in Walt Disney World (currently) is Avatar: Flight of Passage. It is a completely unique experience and a must-see. The unique Pandora drinks are delicious and the Drum Ceremony cannot fail to pull you into its high intensity experience. I would definitely recommend!

Pros:

Flight of Passage, bubble drinks, Drum ceremony

Cons:

Nav’i River Journey (beautiful but too short with too long a line) and the land itself feels cramped

A much needed addition to animal Kingdom. The two new rides offer something for everyone in the family and the ambiance is everything. The best part, it gets better at night!

Pros:

New attractions, food, and overall appearance

Cons:

Smaller than other “lands” throughout Disney

Absolutely loved it

Pros:

The avatar flight of passage was so breathtaking I actually cried and the na'vi river journey was equally beautiful. This world of Avatar was a first class edition to Animal Kingdom and certainly lives up to all the hype.

Cons:

None

For the "new lands" (Pandora and Toy Story) I think Pandora did it the best. Even though I haven't actually seen Avatar and I've seen Toy Story (all of them) many times I really prefer Pandora because visually it is just so amazing and different than anything Disney has ever done. But my main con is it so different, it almost feels like it doesn't fit in to Disneyworld or Animal Kingdom in general. Everything is so unique, the atmosphere, the food, the shopping and the rides.

I would say it is much better to come at night, visually everything they have done is way better to experience when it's dark.

Of the rides, I think the Flight of Passage is the best Disneyworld ride there is. The River Journey is just a much more updated It's a Small World, but instead of countries it's all the fauna of the Pandora world. My family has done the River Journey once in the 5+ times we've been to Pandora and don't really see the need to do it again anytime soon.

Pros:

Super unique, best at night, Flight of Passage (best ride in the whole of Disneyworld)

Cons:

Can be very busy, very long line rides if you don't have fastpass, River Journey not that amazing of a ride

While Pandora is beautifully done, I was a bit disappointed in it's size. I went expecting "land" as in Fantasyland or Tomorrowland and in reality it was more of a "section". The boat ride is a one and done type of ride with not much going on aside from the one amazing animatronic, but the Flight of Passage ride is not to be missed....IF you can spend half of your day waiting to get on it. I did love the desserts offered at Satu'li restaurant and thought Disney outdid themselves there. I'm definitely glad Disney started expanding Animal Kingdom and Pandora is a nice addition, just smaller than imagined.

Pros:

Two new rides in Animal Kingdom is always a plus

Cons:

Area is very small and just a little cul-de-sac of the park. Boat ride not worth a long wait. Extremely long lines.

Pandora is beautiful, now my favorite at WDW. Flight of Passage is amazing and worth a wait. The atmosphere is great overall. The Night Blossom drink is a great rival to dole whip, never thought that could happen! Food at Satuli was good overall. Highly recommend!!!

Pros:

Atmosphere, amazing ride

Cons:

Wait times and number of people!

As someone who experiences moderate motion sickness, I'm fine with roller coasters and rides like the Tower of Terror, but can't do simulators like Star Tours or Flight of Passage. My brother rope dropped FoP on an extra magic hour morning, with a 30 minute wait and said after that he probably wouldn't bother again. He wasn't a fan of the vehicle/banshee's living effects, i.e. simulated breathing. The lack of coherant story is an issue for this ride as well as Navvii River Journey, which I rode 4 times while waiting for him to get off FoP. Pleasant enough, but I certainly don't need to ride it again for a while. The land was very well themed, but without an emotional connection to Pandora myself, I didn't feel as interested as I am with say, Frontierland. One thing I really did not like was the traffic flow issues. The extended queue for FoP blocks off a section of the land at times. As this was my first visit, I was not very familiar with the area and got lost while trying to visit the gift shop because of the queue. Not sure how they can improve that with the crowds they're drawing. I would have liked to try FoP, but not risking getting sick first thing the morning. I'm disheartened that simulators like this seem to be the new trend for thrill rides as I won't be able to experience any of them. Even though I was not "wowed" by the land, I'd definitely say it's worth experiencing at least once due to all the hard work the imagineers put into the theming.

Pros:

Theming

Cons:

Crowd control, lack of clear storylines
