I have always loved POTC and make it a point to ride this everytime we are at WDW (we actually rode it twice...once with a LL and one without just to see the difference). Overall a great ride and the pirate ship scene seemed a bit more "smokey" than usual; but I mean, they are in a battle, so there's that. The wait times without a LL can get pretty long; but the decor inside makes it very cool to see
Pros:
Great ride, very fun for all ages.Cons:
StandBy lines could get pretty long...do this at rope-drop or get a LL.Reviewed by MadisonDuPree Review Date: 10/12/2023

Love, love, love! My #1 favorite since I was lil!!!
Pros:
You feel like you're really living in those times cuz the smell, atmosphere, song n the rocks/stone cave is so cool. It feels so real! I just love it!!!Cons:
None. If on a very packed day, maybe the line but it's expected in any ride on special days...Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 01/29/2023

The whole family (1 yr old to 65 yrs old) all loved this ride… with one exception. One member of our party can’t handle drops or pitch black rides. We had no idea this ride started with both. It kind of ruined the rest of the ride for her, since we thought this was a simple boat ride. Otherwise, the sights and smells were impressive! And it’s a classic!
Pros:
Immersive sights and smells Classic rideCons:
Dark drop (con if you don’t like those) You may get wetReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 08/03/2022

Such a classic! Not only is it a long and arguable relaxing boat ride, but it is also one of the best-themed attractions in the world! Its theme alone allowed for the creation of one of Disney's most beloved and popular movie franchises!
Pros:
Long, A/C (especially in the summer), Incredibly well-themed, high-capacity, has incredible re-rideability, great effects including scents, and an astonishing collection of animatronics.Cons:
Can be scary for kids, and there is a small chance of getting wet.Reviewed by John246 Review Date: 05/10/2022

The gold standard. What else can be said? This is the ultimate theme park attraction.
Pros:
Spectacular theming, humor, excitementCons:
None! The Anaheim version might be longer, but any version of Pirates— WDW especially— is a must visit.Reviewed by imagineer97 Review Date: 03/29/2022

One of the best boat rides I have ever been on with many animatronics and iconic scenes. It is missing a few scenes that Disneyland has but the overall ride is the same.
Pros:
Fun boat ride for kids, adults, and teens. A medium-size drop with stunning scenes.Cons:
Shorter and missing a drop than the Disneyland ride has.Reviewed by juliekaitlyn94 Review Date: 01/27/2022

Yo ho! I fell in love with Pirates on my first (and only *so far*) ride. I wasn't expecting a drop, but I loved it! The smells, the animatronics...everything was just magical. It felt like I was right there in the scenes. The part that amazed me the most was when we were right about to step into the boats. I looked behind me, and saw the scene of the water and the fog. It looked so real!
Pros:
EverythingCons:
Not one thing that I can think of!Reviewed by MJandJimmy Review Date: 01/26/2022

Are you singing the song as you walk up to the entrance? Do you smell that water?
Pirates. More pirates. Oh....and pirates. Just a classic good time of ...well... pirates!
The line can be a bit long, but not like Peter Pan, though I do enjoy Peter Pan...they have pirates too.
