BIG Changes Needed! The Disney F&W Festival has run its course I think. Most items are repeats from prior years and not at all authentic - most booth staff are locals, not from the countries and the food is just ok to terrible - we had mushy tacos, miniature dry chicken wings and chops drenched in potato chips as examples. “Extra” entertainment was lacking (many booths empty) - just the usual stuff you see; and the special events like pairings, demos, cooking, all GONE! Just a money grabbing event with no magic whatsoever!

Pros:

Less expensive than regular Disney dining

Cons:

Not at all authentic and not at all impressive!

It certainly has an air of festivity, but the crowds were suffocating. This was my first time visiting during September. I know some people love the F & W festival, but not me! It was as hot as the surface of the sun, and most of the kiosk queues and tables were smack in full sun. It's enough to give you heatstroke just looking at people waiting. Even if you are visiting Epcot solely for the rides, it was difficult to navigate with the crowds. I will definitely avoid Epcot during the F & W festival in the future. This is my first visit that I have not stayed for Illuminations!

Pros:

Interesting choices and lovely smells of food cooking

Cons:

Incredibly crowded

on October 18th, we came especially for the Food and Wine Festival with my daughter and her family. What a mess. it was crowded and the lines were long; people were running from one kiosk to another carrying their beer or liquor, bumping into others, holding a place in line for 15 others to jump in. we were concerned about safety for the kids as they were walking with us and not in strollers. we won't be back the way it's handled now.

Pros:

can't think of one

Cons:

long lines, drunkeness, not caring about others

Was at wdw from 8/24 to 8/30, 2023. Had a park hopper so went to the Food and Wine festival on four different days. The best thing I can say about the food is it’s an less expensive way to eat at WDW. As for the quality so,so nothing exceptional and many things were better last year. Fry Basket was terrible all you could taste is salt both on the flight and the yuca fries. Japan and Tangerine Cafe were the only booths that we enjoyed. It was so bad we chose to do a walk up at Rose and crown, which was better but still not great. I don’t mind paying for good food but I do not like paying exorbitant prices for food that is worse than what I can get at hone foe more than half the price. Will nver do the Food and Wine festival again.

Pros:

Prices

Cons:

Quality and taste of food.

Think twice before attending this event!!! It is too crowded! So crowded that you can't enjoy the park or the food. Really, it's a sea of people who are rude and drunk. Lines for the food are very long, and they often run out of food. After standing in line for 30 minutes for a tiny portion of food, you don't want to be told "we are out of that"! I thought the crowds would be less on a weekday, but Tuesday night was as crowded as Saturday night.
Stay away, miserable. Did I mention it was CROWDED?

Pros:

Food

Cons:

Everything But The Food

DO NOT enter this park on a day that the festival is occurring, especially on the weekends with your children. We witnessed thousands of inappropriate shirts, extreme cussing, vulgar displays of public drunkenness to the point that many people could NOT stand on their own. SHAME on Disney for letting this festival become Bourbon St. during Mardi Gras night!!!!

Pros:

delicious food

Cons:

unruly drunkeness and foul language

I attended this for the first time in September with my son. We had planned to hangout here for a couple days, but never came back after the first day. Some of the food was good and it was fun to try some new things. It was not fun eating on top of garbage cans or trying to beat someone to a table. At one location, my son sat at a high table while I was in line and some woman went and stood in front of it because I guess she thought he was invisible or didn't count. She left as soon as I arrived....but weird.

There were so many people drinking so much, that it really wasn't place for children of any age. I get it and like to indulge, but it was not a place for families at all. I was really disappointed and don't plan to attend again.

You have to go in to it expecting a "taste" more than a snack or a meal. And don't just go for the hype, choose things you want to try. We did a fruit sushi that was all the rave last year and none of us cared for it.I was with my 2 girls so we got one and each take a small taste for the booth. The things that come in cups are like a bathroom sized Dixie cup - so it isn't much at all. The other stuff is normally served in a small cardboard boat. It is a great chance to taste lots of different cultural foods but it will add up if you are trying to eat enough to get full. I don't do any of the alcohol offerings because I am with my kids and am the one driving so I can't speak to it. But there are always people who are drinking a bit too much...

Pros:

Unique opportunity to taste many different cuisines

Cons:

Portions are small, so it adds up. I wish there was a "tasters" pass like a digital punch card you could prebuy at a reduced rate and get a certain number of samples. We typically only try 2-3 things per visit to stay in budget.

I am disappointed that the meat courses always taste so salty! Most chefs I've read about say the salt itself should not be noticed. And many of us are watching our blood pressure. There are too many alcoholic beverages! If people can't drink responsibly then cut back on how many choices are offered. And I'm shocked at how many people forget they are at a family venue and act disorderly. The prices are getting a little bit out of control, too. The whole event lasts too long, and Disney is putting too many food booths at too many of their other festivals! It really doesn't feel very special anymore! Each year I am less enchanted with the idea of the food booths, although I usually love to eat!

Pros:

Interesting food choices

Cons:

Meats too salty, prices too high, event too long

I have been to the festival a couple of other times and never has it been so crowded so early in the day. We started hitting the food booths at 11am and there were already some of the longest lines I've ever encountered. I'm used to getting in a line with maybe 5 to 10 other people at this time of day, but the lines were easily 30 to 40 people long and it only got worse as the day went on. It got so bad that there was no way we were getting in a line that was 80 people deep! It was fun to try all of the offerings but I would much rather be at Epcot on just an average day. Also, there seemed to be a LOT of people that were on a mission to drink as much as possible. Quite a few groups of people with t-shirts made to let everyone know that this was a "drinking around the world" event for them. I was surprised to see so many children at this event. I would leave the kids out of this one for everyone's enjoyment.

Pros:

Lots more booths

Cons:

Far too crowded and kids should be left out of this one.
