My DH and I had lunch here because we wanted to try the fried green tomato sandwiches. We made the mistake of ordering 2. they are big enough to share. Enjoyed the slaw on the sandwich but not as a side. Would certainly have again but only order 1 and no slaw.

Pros:

Good food

Cons:

long lines

First off, I kind of like theme park food. Maybe it’s because I’m on vacation, don’t worry about eating healthy and it tastes good because it isn’t necessarily all that healthy! That being said, I’ll be as objective as possible here.

I had the Messy Melvin with onion rings. I loved the fresh ciabatta bun it came on. Very tasty. The vegetarian patty was too small for the bun and slightly dry but tasted fine. It was like a veggie patty from the frozen section of the grocery store. The tomato like chunky sauce (making it “messy”) was good and added a bit of flavor. I would have preferred more sauce. It wasn’t dressed to the point of being “messy” and I think it would have tasted better with more flavor if it was more dressed. I actually added mustard to get some flavor and take away from the dry patty. If it wasn’t for the bun, I wouldn’t have been impressed.

The 16 year old girl I was with liked her plain burger just fine. It was just a burger with no bells or whistles that she asked for.

I had the onion rings which I loved! They were hot and crispy. They were fully covered in crisp batter that did not fall off the ring when you took a bite. Tasty!

Her fries were regular theme park fries. Crispy, medium thickness and warm.

We also had the churro funnel cake here. This is what you definitely should go for if you like this type sweet. Wow. It was a funnel cake with cinnamon sugar to resemble a churro, then drizzled with caramel sauce that was warm and topped with whipped topping in the shape of a Mickey head. So delicious. Three of us ate off it. The outside where the whipped cream didn’t start to melt was crispy funnel cake goodness. The middle got a little softer but it was just a different texture of delicious! It was worth the $9.

The restaurant and area has ample seating, both drinks downstairs and up. We had no problem finding a table at two separate peak times. They have packets of ketchup, mustard and possibly mayo, but no topping should bar. Mobile order was available and was fast.

Pros:

Lots of seating, great onion rings and funnel cake, interesting variety, quick, good value

Cons:

No topping bar, menu doesn’t have much for a picky/plain/healthy eater other than kids menu

Nice for counter service. We had chicken sandwiches & nuggets and kids power packs. Plenty of food and lots of seating. But quite a bit of the seating was outdoors with no shade. We were there in the summer, which meant large portions of the seating area were abandoned because everyone wanted shade.

Pros:

Food was decent

Cons:

Lack of shade over some seating

One of the better counter service meals I have had. The burger was large and not dry. First place I could get a sweet ice tea during my vacation. The cashiers were very friendly.

Pros:

Not crowded

My party of two dined here on 5/21/14. We came by around 11:45. There were only three registers open and quite a crowd. When we finally got up to the register and ordered, it still took a long time to get our food. 20 minutes from the time we stepped in line to the time we were sitting down to eat.

It was easy to find a table. I had the fried green tomato sandwich with sweet potato fries. I'd never had this type of sandwich before and it was very good! Fresh and full of veggies. My friend had the fried chicken sandwich and he had no complaints. We split the lemon bumblebee cupcake. It was gigantic but so delicious!

Pros:

Fresh sandwiches, awesome cupcake

Cons:

Slooooow ordering lines and service

I don't like fried green tomato sandwiches, but my party enjoys them, and this is the only place on property to get them. Its nice to see unique menu items, when so much of Disney has become homogenized. The rest of the menu is limited. My only concern was how slow the service was. My party was in line and ordering and I went elsewhere to find something else to it. I found something, walked back with it, and they were still at the window waiting for their food! For a counter service restaurant it seemed to be very slow.

Pros:

Fried green tomato sandwich

Cons:

Very slow service
