I loved my room. I purposefully picked a stateroom near the elevator (25 steps, I counted) and I never had a problem with noise, probably because I was near the front. The room was great, the view was great, my stateroom attendant was great. I was on deck 9, so I had rooms above and below me. My only complaints were the shower is not tall-person friendly, and the toilet wasn't big person friendly. Also a lack of electrical outlets near the bed. We had a cpap, so that took one outlet near the bed and thus had to charge phones at the outlets on the desk. Besides that, it was great and I very much enjoyed the stateroom.

Pros:

The verandah

Cons:

Shower not for tall people. Toilet not for fluffy people

We stayed in room 7524 and really enjoyed it. We picked a forward room because we were concerned with the vibration in an aft room and we are glad we did since we could feel the vibration while eating dinner in Animator's Palate. This room is in the forward on the port side and was very quiet. We were able to see Castaway Key from our veranda. This room only sleeps 3 and has a split bath. Although small it did have a lot more storage thanks to our suit cases fitting under the bed. We brought our own cups to refill and have drinks in our room. At the time they still had travel sized bathroom products they were giving out. We would book this room again.

Pros:

quiet; extra storage due to bed being raised

Cons:

didn't have a bunk bed; the CM housekeeper for our room rearranged what we had left out on the desk

We were on the Disney Fantasy May 21-28 and stayed in Stateroom #8660. It was right around the corner from the Aft elevators which made it very convenient to get to Cabanas on Deck 11 and Animator's Palate for dinner.

This was our 6th Disney cruise (3 on the Fantasy and 3 on the Magic) and we were very pleased with the stateroom. The only negative was that we prefer the Mid Section of the ship and this was a long way to get to the shows. But...we are trying to do more walking so that was not really too bad.

The family next to us had 2 small children and a couple times it was a little noisy, but not enough to not stay in this cabin again.

We came back one afternoon to find a seagull trapped on our veranda. After some blocking off of his "escape routes" they were able to catch and release him. People, please DO NOT feed the seagulls - this was what was attracting them.

All in all we were very happy with this stateroom.

Pros:

Close to Aft Elevators

Cons:

Long walk to shows at the Forward section

We recently (May 2016) stayed in room 6066 on the Disney Dream for a 4 night cruise and loved it. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything was functioning. The verandah could have been a bit cleaner but being outside and in the elements I understand the challenges. Don't get me wrong, it was not disgusting. BTW...I worked in the hospitality industry and am VERY picky.

Pros:

Great location, clean and comfortable

Cons:

None

We stayed in room # 6568 (cat 05D). We loved this room. Location is great-right near elevators and stairs midship. We did not have an issue with any noise and did not feel excessive rocking. There is a life boat directly under the balcony. Bathroom is split, lots of closet space. There was only 2 of us, so we had lots of room. Not sure how tight it would be with 3 or 4. I dont think it had a pull down bunk bed. Trying to book same room for next cruise!

Pros:

Location, space

Cons:

None!

We were on theDream, stateroom 6150. We really liked having the verandah. We had 4 people in the room--me, husband, and 2 sons ages 17 and 22. Both boys are over 6' but were comfortable on the fold out sofa and pull down bunk. It did get a little tight moving around the foot of the bed--necessary to get from couch/verandah area to bathroom/door, but we managed fine. Movement and noise were not an issue. We could hear some noise and feel it a little when pulling into port. Had a great view of Nassau when other cruise ships not docked. Fair view of Castaway Cay. Positioned above the aft gangway. Didn't mind aft but prefer mid. I would not be upset to be assigned this cabin again. Easy to get to main dining rooms, Cabanas, shows, etc.

Pros:

Verandah, split bathroom

Cons:

Narrow walkway at foot of bed

We were on the Fantasy Jan 26-Feb 02 '13 in category 5E. We had room 7690 and my parents were next door in 7194. These rooms have great, large balconies off the back of the ship. We discovered this a few cruises ago and now only stay in the very back. The balcony on 7194 is dead center and is the largest of the 3 in the back. We opened the partition between the two so we could use both freely. I also learned that the corner rooms in the back, which are the same category have HUGE corner balconies, (we could see this next to ours). I'm thinking it might be a bit more windy there but to have that big of a balcony would be great.

The rooms itself is pretty typical cruise stateroom size. My son LOVED the bunk which I wasn't expecting, so there is a bunk and a single pull out couch for a family of 4. The queen bed was very comfortable and the split bathroom is a DREAM! Lots of closet space and room under the bed.

I would recommend this cabin to anyone, especially if your verandah is important to you. There is even room on these verandah's for lounge chairs. 7194 has 2 lounge chairs, 2 regular chairs and a small table. 7690 has 2 regular chairs, 1 lounge chair and a small table. 7192 would be the same on the other side.

Pros:

Love the large aft staterooms

Cons:

More walking, but not a big enough negative to not stay here
