This was our first time there. We had heard mixed reviews but wanted to try it anyway. It lived up to its mediocre reviews. Very limited selection, overpriced, food was not fresh. Prime rib was thinly sliced and mostly fat. Broccoli was smothered in dried out cheese. Shrimp creole and Indian chickpea dishes were ok. Overall disappointing.

Pros:

Shrimp creole and Indian chickpea dishes were ok. Server was attentive.

Cons:

Prime rib was not good. Most of the hot food was unappetizing, dried out and had sat out too long.

It has been over 10 years since dining here and thought we would give it a try. Unfortunately Crystal Palace is added to my one and done list. I can’t find anything that would lead me to dine here again. The food was good but average, basically the same you would find at a chain buffet. I found the food to be salty. There were 2 of us for lunch. The salad bar had romaine or field greens, tomatoes, cukes, onions, egg, cheese, and carrots. Waldorf salad, sliced cheese, salami, mortadella, and shrimp. The hot food was chicken fried chicken (reminded me of KFC tenders with a small amount of gravy over top), mashed potatoes, green beans, glazed carrots (these had the skins still on them),sausage and peppers, cheese grits, shrimp and sauce (for the grits?), spinach ravioli, chili, roasted potatoes, prime rib, pork loin, and Mahi with a red caper sauce. Desserts were cobbler, cookies, butterscotch pudding, s’more, strawberry shortcake ( a piece of cake with frosting and a 1/4 strawberry on top), and chocolate silk cupcake. All desserts were bite size. We were celebrating a birthday and the server brought out a generic, no frills, plain vanilla cupcake. He lit the candle and walked away. Honestly, it was a bit disappointing based on other venues and what I’ve come to expect from Disney Dining.

Pros:

A quiet spot out of the summer heat. The food was tasty but average.

Cons:

Nothing special that would make me want to return.

Typical buffet faire with a pricey bill. Every item is good but nothing special to warrant the cost. I much prefer a menu or family service. There is a carving station but the only option was rare cuts. The chili (Walt’s Favorite) was good. Deserts were okay. Suggest Harbor House, the food is better and reasonable.

The food was good, but for the price I would have hoped there be a bigger selection. We had a 3:30pm reservation and it seemed like they were having a hard time keeping things stocked on the buffet. This could be due to staffing, though.

Pros:

Food was good, staff was friendly

Cons:

Seemed like less choices compared to some of the other buffets we’ve eaten at at Disney.

I have some great memories dining here with my family pre-covid. We decided to go to Crystal Palace as we always enjoyed the food but this time I did not see the value. We paid the same amount for less, it was no longer buffet style you get your one meal and that’s it and there are currently no characters walking around which took away from the magic you would normally experience. Our prime rib also came out well done vs slightly pink.

Pros:

Quick Friendly Service Cute decor

Cons:

Food was over done No character experience Expensive for what you get

Before the pandemic, this place was definitely an 8/10. The buffet options were good, and the characters added a nice touch. Now, the buffet is gone, so the food is served individually. The fried chicken had a weird spice to it, and the vegetables were dry. The corn bread was great but the one with the bacon and chives was not so great. The dessert definitely made up for it.

Pros:

Great staff, and dessert.

Cons:

Limited menu options, no characters, weird fried chicken.
