This is a great character dining location. For the most part, the food is great. My party loved the turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and stuffing, salad, and beef. We especially loved the berry short cake. We really did not like the mac n cheese. The mac n cheese throughout WDW is generally delicious but they really dropped the ball at this location - the mac n cheese here doesn't taste good at all and for some odd reason they garnish it with gold fish? We really didn't understand that one. Aside from that, the food is excellent and it is all you can eat. We love the characters at this location (Pluto, Chip, Dale, Mickey), however we felt that they rushed from table to table. We hardly had any interaction with them and we didn't feel that in the other character dining spots we visited.

Pros:

Characters Ambiance/theme Food

Cons:

Mac n cheese - what's with the gold fish? Character encounters felt rushed

Lunch @ Garden Grill on 04/05. Food was great, as always, but not oustanding. It was tasty and well prepared, but pretty basic. And the service was excellent; didn't feel rushed and characters came around 3 times during out meal. However, the characters coming around 3 times during our meal was somewhat awkward as we were unable to have close contact and could only wave. Understandable, but not comfortable. As for the food, it was yummy, but after paying 190.00 for dinner for 3, not including any alcohol, I really have to reconsider if I will ever dine here again. I think everyone that is intrigued by the setting should eat here once, but paying that much for what I would consider a basic Sunday dinner has become a little too much.

Pros:

Atmosphere, service, and

Cons:

Price!!

The atmosphere is fun and the family style is cool. The food was good. We had a large group of 10 (8 adults), they serve the food in a large frying pan. It really isn't enough for everyone, we asked for more and by the time they brought more out, we were ready to leave. So this may be a good choice for a smaller group or family. The actual food is tasty and the characters come around frequently. Servers were very nice. I would try again maybe for the breakfast meal.

Pros:

great for smaller families, food is good, service is friendly, characters come around alot, the kids loved seeing Chip n Dale and Mickey. fun atmosphere, great for kids.

Cons:

Not enough food for a large group, food can take a while to come out. did not care for the dessert.

Ate here for Thanksgiving one year but I think the menu is the same year round. It's family style buffet, you can get as much as you want. The whole restaurant rotates which is really cool. Get the meet Chip and Dale and some main Disney characters. Small selection of food, but good food

Pros:

Meet Chip and Dale, room rotates, usually can get a reservation, good food

Cons:

Limited food selection, have to pay attention to kids (you should anyhow) but I think someone has gotten hurt on the rotating mechanism.

We had a great server. We love Living with the Land, and read so many good reviews.

The food was ok. It was good enough, not the greatest.

The character interaction was the best. They were all great and played around with us.

It was good enough for one time.

Pros:

Great character interaction

This is a character meal that we have done before. Last time there was excellent character interaction with everyone this time it was quick and focused only on DS. I found all over Disney this to be the case. The salad used to have fresh green beans in it but not this time. The salad was really light on dressing could have used a little more. The butter balls sat in maple syrup and made things sticky. The bread was good same bread you get at Mama Melrose. The turkey had a lemon caper sauce. The beef was cooked well and the fish alright. We ordered more of the potatos, beef, and turkey and mac and cheese for DS. That was all he ate off the kids. My mom ate his chilcken leg, husband ate broccoli and everyone shared sweet potato fries. DS at the mac and cheese and beef and rolls. Dessert was a cobbler- sick of blueberry though. Not sure about coming back. While it was my dad's fave last time not sure anyone will pick it next time. Our waitress was MIA most of the time and we had a woman who appeared to be dressed more like a manager with dressier attire on bring food and drinks on occasion. This is where you question tipping.

Pros:

revolving restaurant and characters

Cons:

small round half booths not enough table space

Though we do not yet have children, my wife and I chose to go to the Garden Grill as part of our Candlelight Processional package, as we'd never eaten there before.

They seemed a little disorganized when we got there, but before too long we were seated. The experience of being in a rotating restaurant is always interesting, though the view here was a lot less interesting than when eating at rotating restaurants on the top floor of skyscrapers.

The food was perfectly fine. Not great, but not at all bad. I liked the turkey quite a bit, as well as the mashed potatoes. The beef was okay and the tilapia went mostly untouched. I found dessert to be very disappointing. Though signs advertised bread pudding, all we got was a berry cobbler. My wife seemed to like it, but I don't care for cobbler.

The interaction with the characters was entertaining enough, though it lead to some problems inherent in the layout of the restaurant. When kids would start to get excited about the characters, you would suddenly have loud children running up and down the fairly narrow strip along which customers and waiters have to walk. And when the character stopped for pictures, waiters would frequently be stuck standing there with food and no way to easily get to the customer.

They did show considerable concern for possible allergies. My wife is pregnant and cannot have certain foods. Since there was no place on the form to note pregnancy, the person who took our reservation wrote 'shellfish allergy'. The chef himself came out to speak with us about any possible allergies. When the situation was explained to him he assured us that tilapia was a very low mercury fish anyway and that their tilapia was even lower, given that they are raised on site.

Pros:

Fun experience, allergy attentiveness

Cons:

Average food, can be chaotic

As a child, DD loved this restaurant. The whole rotating restaurant thing fascinated her. She enjoyed the characters and the changing scenery.
As an adult, I would categorize Garden Grill as just okay. The food was decent. The dessert was mediocre, as I've noticed most Disney restaurants have been on the dessert side recently.
Biggest complaint has got to be how terribly awkward it is when the seats rotate toward the front of the restaurant, where people are standing around watching you eat. One couple pulled out a camera and took pictures of Mickey in the seats above us. I've got to say, it's not very comfortable trying to eat while people are staring and snapping pictures That we will be in. That restaurant couldn't rotate us out of that section fast enough, lol.
If you have kids, I'd say try it once.

Pros:

Revolving restaurant with changing scenery

Cons:

Food is "eh." People watching you eat.

I've been wanting to try Garden Grill for a while, just neve had for one reason or another. We were at Epcot during Food & Wine this time, so we didn't make any reservations, expecting to just eat at festival booths all day, so we ended up doing the walk up wait list at the end of the day when we had tried all the festival food we wanted to. Comfort food at the end of a day of drinking was good, and it was nice to sit in the air conditioning and eat. We really enjoyed most of the food. The mac and cheese was not good, but other than that, we enjoyed everything. While the characters were not the reason we came here, having them come around was fun. We don't have kids, and neither of us are great at knowing what to say to the characters, so they spent more time at neighboring tables than they did at ours, but that was fine. We got some cute selfies with each character, and I liked that they gave us a card with their autographs. I think we were there for about an hour; the restaurant went around one full time, and the characters each came around twice. It's a fun little restaurant and cool to be able to see some scenes from the ride below. Would I recommend doing this (or any all you can eat meal) on the same day as eating a bunch of festival food? No. Would I recommend this over most other food spots in Epcot? Probably not. But we really enjoyed ourselves, and the traditional style Thanksgiving food really hit the spot, especially since I didn't have to cook it.

Pros:

all you can eat

Cons:

mac & cheese was horrible

The beef with chimichurri is great, everything else was ok, but I don’t love Thanksgiving food, but my husband does. My kids MIGHT have eaten something? I don’t know, the characters were the highlight. The food was good, just not my taste.

Pros:

Great character interaction

Cons:

The meal is what it is.
