I was really looking forward to my stay at the Boardwalk, but this hotel was a huge disappointment, especially coming from a split stay at the Wilderness Lodge. The refurbished rooms are very pretty, but if they were going to spend all of that money you would think they would at least put in a new shower head like they did at Wilderness, but the room had the old shower heads. There was a gap under the door to the room that a small animal could crawl under, and it let in all the light and noise from the hallway. We had to use the fancy throw pillows to block out the light at night. The room had extremely thin walls and was very noisy. We could hear every noise from the hallway and the room next door. The resort in general is a very noisy place. The worst thing was that in order to refill your coffee mug in the morning, you had to get dressed, walk to the center of the hotel, which was a very long walk for us, then go down to the first floor, go outside, then walk halfway down the boardwalk to the Boardwalk Deli. There was a nice coffee location in the lobby called Carousel Coffee, but they do not refill the mugs and you had to purchase the coffee. That is also the only place to get any type of food, which is a very limited selection of pastries, otherwise it is back out to the Boardwalk. The hotel lounge does not open until 4pm, and does not serve any type of food. I have stayed at both the Yacht and Beach Club, Port Orleans French Quarter, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs and Wilderness Lodge, and the Boardwalk is far and away the most inconvenient resort to try and get anything to eat or drink. AND it is very expensive on top of that. I disliked the circus vibes out at the main pool, and it was very noisy and chaotic, even early in the morning. The quiet pool was nice, but very small, and no bar. I could not wait to leave, and I would never stay there again.

Pros:

It's pretty. Quiet pool is nice. Good location to walk to Epcot.

Cons:

Expensive. Noisy. No quick service in the actual hotel.

Not as bad as Art of Animation...

Pros:

The only thing good about this hotel is its proximity to the two parks.

Cons:

As with all things WDW, the pricing of the product compared to the value of said product is wildly mismatched. Rooms that are no better than a regular hotel and they are 4 or 5 times the price. Convenience store quality food that has a Michelin star price attached. Requested room add ons that never happened... Patently ridiculous WDW continues to get away with this.

Our latest stay at the BW was May 2022. We love the BW and have stayed here many times since 1997. The rooms are spacious, the amenities are great, the location can't be beat. Cast were friendly. But the gray walls are really awful. Gray was a fad when they were doing the latest rehab. The rooms now look like generic HG TV. A couple contemporary pictures of the Atlantic City Boardwalk on the walls with some Disney characters passes for the theme. I am sure someone likes the new look. But I remember the rooms when new and all the little touches that are now gone. It is still a great place to stay but some of the magic has been lost.

Pros:

Room size, location

Cons:

Ugly gray wall in living room

My husband and I stayed at the Boardwalk Villas for 4 nights and 5 days in a 1 bedroom villa, with a great view of the Tower of Terror.

We loved the room size, the kitchenette, the double bathroom, and the ability to do a little laundry during our stay.

The pool at the hotel is the perfect size, and there's a quiet pool to lounge without having to worry about the waterslide! It's an easy walk to Epcot, and we found the boats to run like clockwork and were a great option for getting to and from Hollywood Studios!

While I wouldn't call it a negative, as New Yorkers who live near Coney Island and Atlantic City, we do feel that the Boardwalk can really amplify the theming to really hammer home that 1900-1920's feel that they're going for. It would be great to have more unique shops, snacks, and entertainment that takes you back to that time and place.

Pros:

Location to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and The Boardwalk shops and dining. The room size! In room laundry!

Cons:

Many restaurants were closed.

I stayed at the Boardwalk Villas in January 2021 and my stay was absolutely amazing. The pool and slide are amazing. During the day they had activities at pool, when I was there they were doing trivia. The location is premier being so close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We had a boardwalk side view and it was beautiful being right on the water.

Pros:

The location is top notch. It’s a 5 minute walk to Epcot and a 15 minute walk to Hollywood Studios. The lobby smells like cinnamon roasted nuts and I could just sit there for hours smelling that. It also has a lounge, restaurant, and quick service bakery right outside.

Cons:

During pre-pandemic times, I could see the bars and nightlife outside being a bit much with the Boardwalk side rooms.

We just stayed here for 8 days late August 2021. We are DVC members and this is our home resort. The location of this resort can't be beat. I love that we are just steps away from Epcot and a quick boat ride or walk to DHS. There are numerous dining options to choose from. You can walk to the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin and Beach & Yacht club. Or you can walk over to world showcase for even more places to eat. The cast members at this hotel have always been super friendly and helpful. My family and I just simply love it here.

Pros:

Location location location!

Cons:

Some people feel the Boardwalk is a bit too noisy.

We stayed in a studio overlooking the boardwalk for two nights. We were not impressed with the check-in staff. They were rude and assumed we had stayed there in the past. When I asked where the pool was, I was told, \"it hasn't moved, it's over there!\" Helpful for a first-time guest?!

Don't even get me started on the walk back to the lobby from the car, it was at least a fifteen-minute walk. One and done for us...

Pros:

Very close to EPCOT.

Cons:

Over-intoxicated people returning from EPCOT at night.

We've stayed in almost every room type available (studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom) here over the course of many trips and have loved every second of each trip. The location is top notch and cannot be beat for its walk to DHS and Epcot. We hate having to wait on buses and this certainly cuts down on that by a lot. The area is beautiful, the theming is fun, the rooms are well cared for, the food offerings surrounding are numerous, and we've never had anything to complain about here. The cast members are always friendly, the gift shop has a lot to offer (including a case line), the bakery has great morning treats, and the entertainment at night is always exciting. We will absolutely keep returning here for years to come.

Pros:

Everything

Cons:

Not a thing
