My family and I dined here in August 2013 on the free dining plan. Hands down, this was the best counter service meal we had during our trip. My husband and I both had the tuna salad and our daughter had the steak sandwich. For dessert, I had the chocolate cupcake and my husband and our daughter had the lemon cupcake. Everything was delicious.

Tips: Get there early to line up and be prepared to wait. Also, if you want to customize your meal, go to the cashier. You can't ask to leave off dressings if you order via the self-service.

Pros:

Food / Theming

Cons:

Long line to get into restaurant /Crowded fountain drink station /

Dined here on August 28th. Skipped breakfast to line up at 10:00am for the 10:30am opening. That was the smartest move I made that week. I was 3rd in line to get in and was able to order and choose any area to sit. I explored the east & west wings before settling in the main ballroom. Describing the decor has been covered by others many times so I'll skip the details. The West Wing is impressive and really leaves an impression on you. Compared to the West Wing the East Wing is a bit disappointing. The East Wing lacks personality and it seems as if the architects used up all the good ideas in the other two rooms. But the attention to detail is incredible. The ambiance alone makes this a must do dining experience.

The real star of any restaurant should be the food and Be Our Guest certainly comes through in this department. I considered this to be the best value of any quick service meal I've ever had at Disney, or any other non-Disney restaurant I've eaten in. I had the Braised Pork while the wife had the Carved Turkey Sandwich. Both were generous portions and the quality of the food was top notch. The Braised Pork was cooked perfectly and and the choice of vegetables was perfect. For $12 this was easily the best value I had in WDW. The Turkey in the wife sandwich was moist and seasoned well. It was served on a warm baguette with a horseradish sour cream with "Pommes Frites". That must be French for french fries because that's what they were. The wife's a small eater so I was able to have part of this sandwich myself. It was excellent and at $11, I would highly recommend this to anyone. Adding in two drinks and a dessert for each of us the bill came out to about $36. Large portions, quality food, and a decor that can't be beat. All things considered, this was the best value in WDW.

I heard from an inside source that Disney is going to add the "Fast-Pass" to this lunch in the near future. So the stories we hear of the long lines in the hot sun will go away soon enough.

Pros:

Food Quality/Decor/Value

My daughter loved eating in Beasts castle and i thought the theme was well done. That's about all I can give it.

Beef sandwich was decent, cupcakes looked great and tasted fine. Neither of those made it worth while. The French Onion soup was the absolute worst I have ever had. Bland bland bland ! It had a sort of "freezer burn" quality. The kids pork meal looked good but tasted nasty. I was really surprised they would not serve it without the sauce poured over the top of it as we requested when ordering. Not very kid-friendly for a restaurant appealing towards kids.

It really bugged me that the wait was so long to get in yet there were empty tables throughout our meal. A very comfy 4-top nearby sat empty the entire time we were there. Also, the very cool looking West Wing room was small compared to the other 2 rooms yet it is the most in demand.

Pros:

Novelty of castle and its theming

Cons:

Mediocre to poor food, small West Wing, long wait but lots of empty tables

Our much anticipated lunch at Be Our Guest did not disappoint! We dined here for lunch on Sunday, July 21 and arrived before 11:00a.m. Lines were not long at all and we were only held up by waiting for my husband who went to get FastPasses! We enjoyed the atmosphere and took time to explore all the rooms before choosing the ballroom because it had the most seating available. Food was brought to our table very quickly (loved the rolling carts) and was hot and fresh. We enjoyed all our meals - the pork was tender and delicious and the croque monsieur sandwich was very good. The kids meal turkey sandwich was just average. My kids enjoyed the cupcakes (chocolate and lemon) and I thought the cream puff was a nice light dessert to finish off our meal. Overall we were very pleased and will have to put this counter service location right up there with Columbia Harbor House as one of our favorites in the Magic Kingdom.

Pros:

food quality, theming, self-serve drink stations

We were invited via email to experience lunch at Be Our Guest. We had to go to City Hall to collect a yellow rose first. We were a little late as the monorail from our resort simply stopped for a while and we explained this to the very helpful clerk at City Hall. She called the restaurant and they said no problem! So we took the railroad around to Fantasy Land (as the park was PACKED), got off and walked over to BOG. We had already pre ordered our meals through My Disney Experience so there were no surprises there. We were whisked into the restaurant, advised to sit anywhere we wanted. We wanted the West wing but it was full so we chose the main ballroom and sat by the window and watched the special effect snowfall. The food was outstanding. Everyone loved everything they had. There was a hot tea selection and that was perfect for me and the water tasted great. Food arrives via heated trolleys and is fairly quick.
It was a lovely last meal as we were leaving for the airport in a couple of hours. Way to go Disney and Be Our Guest. We loved the experience and thanks for inviting us

Pros:

Atmosphere, food, pre-ordering

Cons:

little confusing as you seat yourself

DH, DD, DS and myself had lunch here on June 15th. We arrived around 1:00pm and the line was pretty long. A CM came by with Mickey golf umbrella's to provide some shade from the son and a menu for us to look over. Once inside the castle we were escorted to the computers where we placed our order for lunch. After we ordered our food we took our rose pager and went to find a table. The West Wing was just spectacular. A little on the dark side for kids, but the theming was spot on. The Rose room was beautiful. Ultimately we chose the Ballroom, loved the snowflakes coming down outside the windows. Our food arrived on a trolley. I had the Braised Pork which was delicious, DH had the steak sandwich which he enjoyed. DS & DD had the carved turkey sandwich and both enjoyed it. We were so full that we could not finish our desserts. Easily could share the portions.

Pros:

amazing atmosphere, great food

Cons:

line getting in was a little slow

This was a good experience; we were there on June 26, an extremely hot day. We got in line about 11:15 and it took about 25 minutes to get inside. The water station and umbrellas that were available helped as did having menus while in line so we could be ready to order. The order kiosks were easy to use; we found a seat and our food arrived within 5 minutes. The refillable drinks were a pleasant bonus as well. We had the turkey, roast beef, and croque monsieur plus two cupcakes (chocolate and lemon/raspberry) and 4 of us left full. Even our 14-year old who doesn't eat sandwiches was content though it would have been better if we could have ordered the roast beef without the horseradish sauce or gotten it on the side. The atmosphere was great and cast members were on top of things. To us, it was a better option than trying to get an ADR for dinner

Pros:

Food and experience

Cons:

Limited menu

Ordering was an issue. The cashier did not understand the product. Misinformed us that the meatloaf did not have tomato sauce when in fact it did have a layer baked in. Misinformed that roastbeef was well done when it was med rare. Everything is premade and practically nothing can be substituted. If you dont like cheese on your sandwich or would rather get the mashed potatoes side, you're out of luck! And the ingredients used are not fresh. The baguette was old and stale - enough to make a French man cry! Compare it to the baguette at chefs de France for instance which is hot and crusty. My son refused to eat his dish and I only ate my soup. When a manager walked by and inquired about the food we told her and she refunded our entire meal. Oh yeah, turned out the cashier charged us for a meal we didn't order too. My advice - go to Chefs de France.

Pros:

Potato leek soup

Cons:

Every thing else

As a group of 6 (including 2 cast members) we enjoyed a truly fun lunch. The decor was smashing and the wait was under 30 minutes. While this is a "counter service" place at lunch, it has a real up-scale feel. We found the ordering kiosk easy to use and the food came to the table quickly via our GPS rose. Be warned that the West Wing area may be too scary for little ones. Our first graders likes the photos on-line and in real life it was too much.

We had the pork, ham and cheese, steak sandwich and a variety of cup cakes. All were met with rave reviews. The pork dish was large enough that I split it with DD age 13. Other reviewers mentioned that the Beast only appeared for a short time. This is true. Be Our Guest is NOT a character meal.

This is a great stop for lunch. I am not certain about dinner. While the menu is impressive, getting a beer with dinner may not be worth the additional cost. Our lunch was $10 per person and we all left feeling full. Note that there are free refills on drinks here. This is not the case in many counter service options.

We got in line about 11:30 for lunch. The line was across the bridge but moved very quickly. It was hot but they were kind enough to bring a cart out to those of us in line with cups of ice cold water. They give you plenty of time to decide what you want to order (they hand out menus in line and there is kiosk that shows you your options). Once inside the building there are lots of things to see! Really an amazing attention to detail. We ordered then found a seat in the room with the rose. It was a bit dark and often filled with folks taking pictures. Didn't bother us a bit - in fact here is a tip: if you are taking a picture of the portrait, wait until you see the rose petal fall and wait for the thunder - then take a picture of the portrait!
On to the food:
I had the Tuna Nicoise Salad - it was very good. A light but filling lunch. Very fresh and tasty. DD and DH had the Grilled Steak Sandwich - with garlic butter spread and pommes frites - The meat was tough and the sauce ( horseradish/mayo)made it really heavy. In fact DH, who has a stomach of steel, felt a bit ill after he ate it. Certainly could have been a problem combined with the heat..but he had to spend a good hour or so on a bench to recover. :/
DS had the Croque Monsieur - he is a sandwich lovin kiddo - he thought it was ok.
We tried 3 cupcakes (DH took a pass on dessert) - The strawberry was excellent - the lemon and chocolate were good.
While we are glad we got to experience Be Our Guest for lunch, we are not sure we will head back for lunch. I may, if I feel up to the challenge, try and get an ADR for dinner here on our next trip. 😉
