After all my trips to WDW (25) this was the best. Stayed from June 30-July 13. Was there for my 60th birthday which I did mention when I made my reservation. Arrived and was immediately bumped up from a standard to preferred room in Calypso right above the pool. Room was ready at 11am and when I arrived, I received a birthday card, birthday button and card for photo pass. Stopped to grab quick lunch (left Pa at 5am). Got to my room around 11:45 am and my bag was already there. Small refrigerator in room was great..ran to Goodings and got lots of Pepsi and fruit and snacks for the evening. After several days the staff at the guest service where you pick up your packages already addressing me by name. Mousekeeper had towel animals for me every day with extra soaps and shampoos and towels. on my birthday, received a Mickey gift basket from family and the mousekeeper gave me a towel birthday cake. Room was kept perfect every day. Highly recommend.

Pros:

fantastic attention

Cons:

none

My family stayed here for a week and we loved it! We are the type of people that go to Disney and stay in the parks from the time they open until they close. All we need out of a resort is a place to shower, sleep, and eat at every now and then. We got two rooms since there was 5 of us (all adults) that went. The rooms have 1 queen size bed and then a queen bed that pulls down from the wall. It is the same type of bed as the other bed, not one of the uncomfortable beds that come down from the wall. The rooms were perfect for what we needed. The food court has a variety of food but nothing out of this world. It's a good place to get breakfast before heading to the parks. The pools are nice and they always had something fun going on at night. One day, they had characters walking around the resort, so we got to meet characters even when we weren't in the park on our rest day. They also have a nice little pool bar if you want a fun adult beverage. The gift shop was also nice as it had some of the generic merchandise and treats from the park but also resort specific. The only "complaint" I have is the bus stops but that is to be expected with a value resort. The bus stop can get very busy and packed before park open and the ones at the parks taking you back at night can also be packed. Sometimes you will have to share a bus with other All Star resorts so that leads to multiple stops before your resort. They really only do this, though, during the day when there are not a lot of people going back to the resorts. Overall, though, I recommend it if you are looking for an affordable way to stay on property or if you don't need tons of amenities for your trip!

Pros:

Affordable resort with all the Disney perks, comfy beds, very cute theming, Mickey Waffles for breakfast every morning

Cons:

Bus stops can get crowded in the mornings and at night (but that comes with staying at a Value Resort with only one mode of park transportation)

We've stayed at this resort twice before and always had a good experience. When we booked this trip, only preferred rooms were available, and I'm so glad we got one. It was definitely worth the upgrade to be located right next to the lobby, food court and buses. The room set up was great for a couple. We left the Murphy bed up and had a dining area instead. Our room had a tub, which was fantastic for relaxing at the end of the day. I bought bath bombs at Basin and had a spa moment every night of our trip. The only downside is that our room was located next to the main pool and it could get loud, especially at nighttime. Otherwise, I thought this room was a fantastic value! I don't know if we just got lucky or if bus transportation is operating more smoothly than in the past, but we never had to wait more than a few minutes for a bus at our resort or at the parks. I preferred our stay here over moderate and deluxe resorts we previously stayed.

Pros:

Great value, comfy accommodations, efficient bus system

Cons:

It's a pretty noisy resort - lots of school groups stay here

I have stayed in a standard room and in the updated suite here. Both types of rooms were very nice to stay in. We comfortably fit two adults in a standard room and could have maybe fit one more. We fit five adults in the suite with no problem, and even with both Murphy beds down, we could walk around the room comfortably. The two full bathrooms in the suite were also a big plus for getting ready in the morning. I don't think we could have found room for another large suitcase in the suite, so if you are a group of six adults, you may want to try to get two connected standard rooms if you don't mind not having a kitchenette.
The room decor was cute and in-theme, but it wasn't overwhelming. I enjoyed looking around the rooms to find little added details.
There were lots of activities at the hotel. Pretty much every night, they had a different movie outside by the pool, and I enjoyed a nice drink, a comfy lounge chair, and Frozen II while other members of my party enjoyed an evening swim.
If you are looking for a more "grown up" experience, I might recommend staying somewhere else. This is a popular place for families to stay, so there are a lot of kids everywhere. However, every time we have stayed there, it has not been a problem for us, and it is nice to see kids enjoying their trip too.

Pros:

Lots of fun entertainment options for children. Nice, clean rooms. Renovated suites are great options for larger groups.

Cons:

Depending on the building you are in, it can be a long walk at the end of an already long day at the parks. Lots of kids can be overwhelming if you wanted a more "grown up" hotel experience. No table service dining.

We stayed with a large family group in April of 2019 although I'm writing this review over a year later. Some of our group who are Annual Pass Holders have stayed here quite a few times, but it was a first for most of us. I have to compliment the managers and staff for their amazing service. My husband was awaiting a heart transplant (and has since had the surgery and is doing well) and got sick our very first day in the parks. I succumbed to the same illness the next day. He and I had to sit out on our family's entire EPCOT day and half days of the rest of the trip. One manager helped us call out medical services to treat my husband. Another manager helped us to rearrange some plans and get us some Fast Passes for later in the week when we were feeling a little better to make up for missed experiences with our family. We weren't sure if this would be my husband's last Disney trip at that point and having such wonderful service and care was so appreciated by all of us.

The family suite was perfect for my sister and my two nieces along with my husband and I. We had a kitchenette, two bathrooms, a separate bedroom, and plenty of room for three adults and two kids (ages 8 and 9). The room was comfortable and served our needs well. We stayed in a preferred room and it was conveniently located to the main building and food court. It was quiet and not overly crowded despite it being spring break time.

We ate in the food court more than we usually would have since we had to stay behind at the resort a lot while our other family members went into the parks. The food is pretty good for a value resort food court. This is the best of the All-Star resorts in my opinion.

Pros:

Helpful staff, wait times for buses fairly short, great value for the money

Cons:

none

For the price this resort is great. Of course your trip back to the busses are going to be longer than those of the people paying double, triple, and ten times that of an All-Star Resort. For my 21st my cousins rallied up and paid for a 5 day trip for 5 of us and it was absolutely wonderful. I have been going to Disney at least once every year since I was 1. 24 years later the All Star resorts still give me that sense of nostalgia. Could be better but for the cheapest resort there is, I couldn't really ask for more. This goes for all the All-Star Resorts.

Pros:

Fun themes, compact resort complex, great pool area and food court

Cons:

could use updating (refurbs are coming though!)

We always stay at All Star Music or Movies. Great value with lots of amenities and Disney themed decor. Lovely landscaping. Very popular with families. Themed pools, food court, pizza room delivery, arcade, gift shop, laundry facilities and access to Disney buses to take you to the parks or Disney Springs.Several different room plans. Clean and comfortable. Friendly helpful staff.

Pros:

As stated above.

Cons:

Depending where your room is, you might have a bit of a walk to get to the main building (food court etc) and the bus stop in front. No cover from the sun at the bus stop.

We love the value resorts. The kids love the food options in the food court, and it is very family friendly overall. All star music has family suites which give you three separate sleeping areas in the living room and a separate room (with a door) with a queen bed. You also get 2 bathrooms which helps get everyone cleaned up much faster. There is a little kitchenette area as well with mini fridge.

Pros:

family friendly food and amenities, family suites

Cons:

Can hear a little noise from rooms around/ above you.
