A Day of IMAGINATION -- The Disney Project presents this Disney fan event featuring original Epcot Imagineer Tom Morris and Dreamfinder Steve Taylor. The event will be held at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista at Disney Springs. It will consist of Disney presentations, including rare and never-before-seen photos, as well as first-hand accounts of what life was like in yesterday's Future World. Prizes will be raffled, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. One Man's Dream Becomes Walt Disney Presents -- The One Man's Dream attraction is currently being reimagined into Walt Disney Presents, which like its predecessor, will continue showcasing historic items from Walt Disney's history, such as sketches, photos and storyboards. But wait - Walt Disney Presents will also act as a preview center where guests explore what's next for the park.

American Idol Bus Tour -- ABC's "American Idol" launches the start of its highly anticipated open auditions at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort. The iconic "American Idol" bus will roll into Disney Springs for auditions taking place on THURSDAY, AUGUST 17.

Christmas in July -- Christmas-themed merchandise, entertainment and treats around Disney Springs Marketplace, such as: -- Santa, dressed in his summer vacation attire, meeting and taking photos with guests at Disney's Days of Christmas each day from 1 to 10 p.m. -- a DJ spinning Christmas beats. -- holiday face-painting -- Disney Springs fountains decked out for the season. Admission and parking in two garages at Disney Springs are free.

Epcot Food and Wine Festival Preview -- Tables in Wonderland hosts a preview of the 22nd Epcot International Food and Wine Festival at World ShowPlace Pavilion from noon until 2 p.m. $145 per person, plus tax, gratuity included.

Copper Creek Villas and Cabins Grand Opening! -- Copper Creek Villas & Cabins will feature 184 modern, nature-inspired vacation homes, including Deluxe Studios, one- and two-bedroom Villas, and even three-bedroom Grand Villas, which sleep up to 12. The new resort will also include 26 all-new luxurious waterfront cabins.

Club Penguin Island -- Guests at the water park will have the chance to participate in Club Penguin Island-themed activities, such as a penguin splash competition in the Ski Patrol area, coloring contests and a "snowball" toss with water balloons.

Star Wars Half Marathon - The Dark Side Weekend -- Races include the 5K, Kids' Races, 10K, and half marathon, with the Dark Side Challenge for those completing the 10K and half marathon distances. New for 2017: the 10K and half marathon will start on Floridian Way and finish at Epcot. In the Inaugural event those races started at Epcot and finished at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The Kessel Run Challenge medal will be awarded to those who complete both the Star Wars Half Marathon - The Light Side in California and the Star Wars Half Marathon - The Dark Side in Florida.

Pro Bowl Week -- Many NFL superstars will be coming to Orlando for Pro Bowl Week starting January 25. Among the Pro Bowl players recently announced are New England quarterback Tom Brady, Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers, New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Dallas rookie sensations Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will host most of the Pro Bowl Week activities, including the team practices, youth football events, a Pro Bowl Skills Showdown and a dodgeball game pitting the AFC stars against the NFC's best players. There are also activities planned for Disney Springs as well as Epcot, which will be the site of the Pro Bowl 5K run. On January 27, Pro Bowl players, NFL cheerleaders and various community groups will take part in a celebratory parade down Main Street, U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom. D23 Destination D: Amazing Adventures -- This event, exclusively for members of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, celebrates landmarks of the past, present, and future, from the Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean to the planet of Pandora. AVATAR creators James Cameron (writer, director, producer) and Jon Landau (producer) will join Imagineer Joe Rohde for Pandora - The World of AVATAR, a presentation where they will unveil new details about the immersive, 12-acre land coming soon to Disney's Animal Kingdom. In addition, the event will include a conversation with Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Plus, Moana screenwriter Jared Bush (co-writer/co-director Zootopia) will be on hand to provide guests an exclusive advance look at the making of Walt Disney Animation Studios' newest animated feature. Cameron, Landau, and Chapek join previously announced Disney Legends Marty Sklar and Tony Baxter; Walt Disney Imagineers Rohde, Chris Merritt, Jason Grandt, and Wyatt Winter; producer Don Hahn (The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast); and Walt Disney Archives Director Becky Cline.
