So, you're headed to Walt Disney World for a family vacation and you're looking for an experience that will add that extra magic to the trip. Some time ago, AllEars® Editor Deb Koma offered suggestions about all the special activities Walt Disney World offers for girls in a feature in this newsletter. Since then, we've been asked many times to spotlight the things that might appeal to the boys in the household. Here, I've laid out experiences grouped around common interests for young boys, though girls certainly are welcome to participate, too. Walt Disney World now offers character makeovers for adults

Walt Disney World has announced that three of its hair salons are now offering Character Couture Packages. Children, teens and adults can book these "character makeovers" at Ivy Trellis at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, La Vida Health Club at Coronado Springs Resort and Ship Shape at the Beach Club. There are three packages: -- Storybook Style: Classic character-inspired hairstyle -- $50 for a child ages 4 to 14 and $80 for an adult. This service takes 25 minutes. -- Magical Makeover: Classic character-inspired hairstyle and makeup -- $75 for a child ages 4 to 14 and $105 for an adult. This service takes 55 minutes. -- Timeless Transformation: Classic character-inspired hairstyle, makeup and nails -- $90 for a child ages 4 to 14 and $120 for an adult. This service takes one hour and 25 minutes. Nails will be painted in a color appropriate for the character chosen or the guest may choose character nail art for an additional $3 per nail. All three packages include a tiara for the participating guest. To make a reservation, call 407-WDW-SPAS.

Disney Dream Gets Enhancements This Fall

Exciting new experiences await Disney Dream guests after spaces throughout the Disney Cruise Line vessel are transformed this fall. Headlining the enhancements are two new interactive youth areas, one themed to Star Wars and another to Disney Infinity. Also a whimsical sweet shop serving handmade gelato and the ever-popular Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique will debut after the Disney Dream undergoes dry dock Oct. 4-24, 2015, in Freeport, Bahamas.
