To help ring in the Lunar New Year, currently being celebrated at the Disneyland Resort until February 17, 2019, AllEars.net was invited to a presentation featuring some of the new specialty foods available at Disney California Adventure. Taking us through the plethora of offerings was Chef John State, Culinary Director, Food & Beverage at the Disneyland Resort.

The Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure expands to 24 days in 2018, from Jan. 26 through Feb. 18. Highlights include "Mulan's Lunar New Year Procession", the World of Color pre-show "Hurry Home - Lunar New Year Celebration", live musical performances, and meet-and-greets with Disney characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Mushu, and Mulan, dressed in the Lunar New Year attire. Foods inspired by Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures will be available at three Asian marketplaces, and the Paradise Garden Grill will feature a Lunar New Year menu.

Disneyland Resort Expands Lunar New Year Celebration to 17 Days, Jan. 20 through Feb. 5

The Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure runs from January 20-February 5. Events include Mulan's Lunar New Year Procession and performances by Chinese acrobats and musical groups. A new World of Color pre-show, "Hurry Home", will be presented each night. Food marketplaces will showcase food and beverages from China, Korea and Vietnam. There are also special character greeting areas with Mulan, Mushu, Mickey, Minnie, and Chip and Dale in the Lunar New Year best.
