Kidcot Fun Stops Epcot

Posted on
Walt Disney World planners recognize that young children love to color and collect items. Luckily for young Epcot guests, the park has incorporated these activities in craft stations, called Kidcot Fun Stops, in each of the 11 country pavilions at the park's World Showcase. Though these attractions were designed for children, they may just be the motivation families need to walk all the way around World Showcase Lagoon. Plus, parents no doubt will appreciate a short break in their touring to rest and recharge.

New Restaurant Coming to Epcot’s Japan Pavilion

Posted on
Today the Disney Parks Blog announced that an all-new table service restaurant will be coming to the Japan Pavilion in World Showcase. The restaurant will be a signature dining experience inspired by the natural beauty of Japan. The setting will draw from both nature and takumi, which means "artisan" in Japanese, and the relationship between Japanese craftsmanship and the natural world will be evident throughout the space. The as-yet unnamed restaurant will be operated by Mitsukoshi USA, which currently operates the merchandise, restaurants (Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining), and kiosks in the Japan Pavilion. No further construction details or planned opening date have been announced.

Travel through 2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival with one local family

Posted on
As my children -- ages 13 and 15 as of later this week -- have gotten older, they have come to look forward to the annual Epcot International Food and Wine Festival almost as much as my husband and I do. So, as local Walt Disney World passholders, we plan several visits to the festival each fall. This year, we have been to Epcot twice specifically to make our way around World Showcase for dinner.
